Alright, I have a bunch of questions about my truck and my new found hobby, but I'll start out with a few right now. I've been browsing through the stickies and all to avoid asking the same ol' same ol'..... but I apologize if I still happen to....

First, I'll start with my broken part. I called it a steering knuckle, but its the front steering block. This is an oem replacement of what I need, but it says rear block instead of front http://www.rcplanet.com/Associated_Steering_Block_Hubs_p/ASC25565.htm

Now, I found some aluminum ones for a little bit more, but the brand name is Integy. I read in a thread here that that was a brand to stay away from.... Is this true? I would really prefer to go with these for a couple dollars more. They look different, but like they would work....? http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=5886&p_catid=139

ALSO.... I need some glowplug help. I see there are several options out there, hot, cold, med, etc. What do I need for my specific application? If its not neccesary, I don't want anything real fancy, I just want my truck to run right.

Any help would be great, I wanna order these parts asap so I can get back out in the yard! I will probably have tuning questions later after everything is fixed. I will use the flow chart in the Tuning Tips sticky first though and see where I end up :D

Thanks for looking fellas (and ladies...?)

Edit: My specific application would be a Team Associated Mini MGT 3.0, guess my s/n gave it away, but thought I would throw it out there.

Well, for starters, I'm only guessing that your user name is the car.
The rears will not work. They are fixed and non steerable.
AVOID Integy. They will snap on the first impact. Pretty, but nothing more.
Look on Tower or A-Main for the parts you need.

Looks like I might have to go with the Integy parts. I can't find a FRONT steering block anywhere! All I can find are the ones I linked above..... Maybe my search skills suck...

Thanks for yalls help! Still figuring things out....

Heres a couple pics....

Edit: I believe its the Steering block/Rear hub, part# 25565. I already found OEM, now I wanna find a non-Integy alum one

Thanks for your help, its just the beginning! Any insight on the glow plug situation?

Those are pillow ball-style axle carriers. The front and rears should be interchangeable because they pivot where the a-arms actually attach. Some rigs use block style carriers, which aren't interchangeable front to rear, due to what Rolex explained. Using the search feature will yield you a lot of info on glow plugs.

Thanks Matt......

I beat the hell outta that search function looking for info before I asked any questions.... I tried not to be that typical noob and recieve the typical "use the search function" response....

I will say though, you were very polite about it Matt, haha. Other forums I'm on, people can be real dicks....... Thanks again for your help!

Hey man, if you don't find what your looking for, ask away.:) That's what we're here for. Sorry can't help ya about the plugs. I have always just ran what the manufacturers recommend.
