NiCd vs. NiMh

NiCads are a thing of the past. If you have them, use them till they're useless, then upgrade. Don't waste any money buying them new.

As Rolex said, NiCd batteries are being phased out. These batteries tended to develop a "Memory" if not fully discharged. NiMH batteries really don't have that problem to contend with. Most of the vehicles now being released will use NiMH batteries and a lot of them can also use the newer and lighter LiPo (Lithium Polymer) batteries.

i run all nimh batteries, i would run lipos but i just can't constitute paying 200-300$ to upgrade, i would just wait till lipos become cheaper, then again turnigy makes an amazing lipo pack
