Well, I screwed up.
I was looking at BRX80 axles for this truck because they seemed absolutely perfect: 160 mm wide, easy leaf spring mounting, the works.
Seems like a dream come true, right?
I JUST NOTICED that the VS4-10 axle is an offset pumpkin, while the BRX axles are center pumpkin. I also didn't notice that the VS4-10 frame rails are wider in the middle of the chassis which makes my life a lot harder in designing stuff for it.
I've already modified the VS4-10 so the return eligibility is gone so returning it for another chassis is out of the picture.
I didn't even know about the BRX01 before buying the VS4-10 and I wish I had seen it because it's cheaper AND works better for my build idea...
So, what now? I don't think 160 mm wide axles with an offset pumpkin even exist, and modifying the VS4-10 to work with the center pumpkin would be way more work than it's worth.
Any insight is appreciated.

Throw a 100 bucks at the problem? Just make it off this. Quality is good.

The problem is that I've already bought the VS4-10. It's sitting on my bench right now, and I'm kind of stuck with it.

Maybe just toss a body on it and some cheap electronics and have it as a spare. Or trade it. Sometimes I build 2 or even 3 trucks before going back to a build to finish it. So I find it just helps to keep building and just look at it and wait until an idea happens. If you're lucky someone nearby you trades or buys RCs but where I am that's not very common anymore.

After much thinking, I came to the realization that I can just scale the wheels up to 1.7s, print custom rims to pull the wheels in as far as possible, and then scale up the body so they don't look comically large. It still looks a bit funny but the narrow 1.5s halfway out of the wheel wells was going to bother me way more...

Glad to hear you came up with a solution!

This was going to be my suggestion. Build it out for someone else and flip it. Recoup as much as possible and put it towards the next thing.
I have a few that need to be dialed that last 5% and then they're going up for sale.

Good luck with your build, it looks cool based on the drawing.
