Hi I'm looking into buying a Nitro Car.
I want to race with my brother on and off road and have no idea what is good and what is bad I also dont want a vechile that dosent go fast I live for things that go fast I have a limit cap of 225 possibly a little over but not to much over. Any ideas for a car to get would be great I really do like the buggy look so i want a buggy that goes both road and off. thank you for any help. Happy Holidays.

Savage x!! But u won't get one that cheap!
Unless u can find a used one but chances are you'll put a couple hundred into it to get it going good, so in the end should have just got a new one.

The Nitrosport is a good vehicle to begin with. Traxxas parts are carried by most hobby shops. You will need to purchase fuel with the truck. I would suggest a good quality 20% nitro fuel.

Make sure you read the manual and if you don't understand something, ask lots of questions here. Most of the old timers here love to share their knowledge.

if you are indeed looking into buggies, try looking into the thunder tiger range. They are sturdy, quick, easy to work on and great fun. Plus, if you wanted to, you can change out the front bumper and rear wing and fit a rally body on.

T-Tiger also do trucks, Stadium and monster, mini buggies and on-road tourers.

Also, you might want to look into a Revo, 2.5 or 3.3 (different engines and chassis).

None of the above is cheap (such is the hobby), but well worth a look.

You also have the option of looking at ofna, haoboa and a great many others who supply buggies. It's a big world out there and research is the key to finding what best suits you. ALWAYS ENSURE, that whatever rig you choose, that you have easy access to spares. Trust me, you will need them, more often than you think.

I love traxxas products but they dont really have any thing buggy like, so i would maybe sujest ofna. But like some have said make sure what ever you get you can get easy like traxxas is great with parts. just about every hobby shop carries traxxas parts for all traxxas model's.

normaly i dont post at all. but if a new rc,er is going to buy a traxxas 3.3, i feel i need to say something. traxxas trucks are good to a point. ill give you 2 bits of advice. 1. brake in the engine exactly like the factory says, with 15 or 20 % nitro. read the instructions at least 4 times before you brake it in. 2. after its broke in NEVER run the engine at top rpm for more than 3-4 seconds, on a stock engine. or youl see a split con rod.

The split conrod almost always comes from a new engine that is run too cold. To minimize your chances of splitting the rod you should get the engine warm with a hair dryer or heat gun first, then use a temp guage to make sure it runs into the 200 degree range. That will loosen up the mechanical pinch in the engine and make for less stress on the rod.
