Saw this. when I first saw it I literally thought it was just a rustler 4x4 with XRT body and rims. who else here thinks this is just a slightly different rustler 4x4 loosely based on the XRT?

Its actually based off the Mini Maxx platform with 1/10 drivetrain and power system.

I can't speak much on the price. I don't know Traxxas products that well any more.
I am VERY happy to see them step back from the cartoon, super huge, need a 1:1 trailer to haul them sized RCs though! 1/10 scale is perfect!
The video made the truck look pretty fun.

Commenting about the price like I did over on the AF. Just my opinion but 370 for a mini is outrageous. You can get a 1/10 or 1/8 car for that same price. Probably because they put the VXL in this one. The Mini Maxx has the BL2s and that's 250 which I respect that but anything more expensive, why not just get a true 1/10 or 1/8 car with the money you got. You know? Lol. Crazy.

You're prob right about the price. Unless it comes with all the hop ups already. It could get $$$$ fast!
Personally, I'd save a little more for that RB7.5 you taunted me with a while back. But they are def 2 different rc's entirely... just purely based on $.

Well it does have some updates so I guess that's also put into the price. Hopefully it becomes lower than 300 bucks overtime.

I agree with @DavidB1126 it's ridiculously expensive especially for a mini you can almost get a Slash 4x4 VXL for $30 more or just about any 1\10 scale car for that price or less. The only new Traxxas i want next is another Sledge but after that i'll be sticking to Arrma and Losi vehicles moving forward.

I've kind of moved on from wanting a Nitro since i like how it is with Electric currently and i feel that nitro would just be a little much. Also if i don't have space to break it in properly then i might stick to electric.

It's more about my mobility since i still don't have a drivers license yet and can't drive myself to a Hobby shop or running area. But i am slowly getting there i have been almost a year without a seizure so far. Nitro is still a possibility but first i got to get my new radio and get some other stuff sorted out before i can add my first nitro car to my fleet. Also have you seen my Gaming setup thread post yet?

As long as you haven't given up on nitro, only a delay... then its ok!

I am a bit of a noob and totally out dated with gaming!
I have had a few consoles over the years but I am not a gamer.
Kiddos are far more active gamers. I watch and wonder why they will plant virtual potatoes for 3 hours a day but refuse to step foot in the real garden 50' away.
