New to electric

So this is a whole new ball game from nitro huh?
First of all I picked up a traxxas summit used with six batteries. I'm assuming I'm gonna have to charge them sooner or later, duh, and they didn't come with a charger. So what the heck do I need. I looked on eBay and there's like a million different chargers and batteries. So gimmie some ideas here so I can run this monster. I'm basically over whelmed with options, with no clue what to buy.

What batteries are they? What do the wrappers say on them, that will help us point you in the right direction.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the packs are NiMH packs as the stock Summit doesn't have a LiPo cut-off. You will probably want a charger that will charge at least 2 packs at a time.

4 of them are venom niMH 8.4 high voltage packs. The other two are also venom 7.2 I'm assuming.

Will these work, they are a couple old chargers I had laying around.

I wouldnt. You need to get a peak charger, not a timed one. The timed ones are for the old around 1800mah 7.2 packs. Get something like a prophet plus by dynamite. Its a great, cheap nimh nicd charger

I have a nice duratrax pirana nimh nicad charger if your still looking, dont need after I went lipo
