well i just bought a used slash in very good condition with aluminum shocks for 150 dollars. i think i got a good deal but dont know. i also purchased a new venom pro charger and venom lipo 4000 mah batt.
i was wondering what everybody thought of this setup and what other upgrades would be recomended

no help

well their must be some opinions out their.

I'm sure it's a good set up and a good buy. My only question is, do you have a brushless set up in the Slash and if not, did it come with a low voltage cut off system with it? Reason I ask is, a lipo in a stock Slash ESC and motor with no low voltage cut off could be a disaster waiting to happen. I have yet to own a lipo though I plan to. Read up on some things you need to know about using LiPOs.
As for the deal ya got, yeah, sounds like a really good buy. ;)

As Hyster mentioned, if you are unfamiliar with lipo packs and their discharge curve, get a LVC.

$150 for all that is a decent deal.

no every thing is stock I'm getting the feeling this is not good. anyways this is what the guy at the lhs set me up with

Lipo batteries cannot be run to zero volts. they will puff and not recharge. most brushless system have a LVC(low voltage cutoff) that shuts the battery off at around 3ish volts per cell if you dont have one you could ruin your battery
