Just picked up this little toy off of flea bay. For around $100 bucks shipped. It's a 1GB Pen Drive/MP3 Player. I needed a bigger pendrive for work and figured if I didnt want to hear anyone yapping I could just plug my ears with this.

It also has a voice recorder and FM radio.... and Phone Book LOL..... what will they think of next LOL

The end cap just pulls off and you can copy your MP3's right to the Pendrive and thats it. The menu system is quite extensive.

yes please do tell! I need a little jump drive type carrier. Quality of sound and As Ed pointed out, there is a lot of info on that tiny screen.

Well its a little bigger then most jump drives now.. but with the added functionality it certainly is worth the size increase. I think the sound is pretty good. I will have to try it with my ipod headphones to be able to compare..... it also has 5 diffrent eq's and another cool feature is you can record from the builti in FM radio to the mp3 player also. I had my wife try it out in the bedroom this morning.... she didnt know i was recording lol...... only kidding. lol

what kind of battery does it run on? is it rechargeable? how long does it last? like could i listen to it for an entire shift at work? that thing is just too cool, id consider ditching my minidisk player for that.

It takes 1 AAA battery. It lasts 12 hours or something like that.

lmao! Minidiscs are like the laserdiscs of the music industry. I've had 3 of them total since they debuted. Great product except it was waaay too late... kinda like the 8 track.

Got a link for us?THe make and brand?

So you got me hooked with this one. I jumped on Ebay and decided to get a simpler version for about half the cost. It's 512Mb on the flash drive. But it also plays MP3's, has and FM tuner and voice recorder. Totalled $60 shipped.

Thats cool but I needed a 1GB Pen drive. I wanted the ability to store a full CD's worth of data on the drive. But I'm sure most times I will just have tunes on it. I really look like an uber Geek with this thing around my neck. Do you have a link on the auction for that one... looks pretty cool...

I figured 512Mb would be fine for me. That's a lot of music. Plus I may need it to shuttle files to and from work when I bring reports home with me. I'm sure I'll use most of the features of it. It's a pretty cool all-in-one thingy.
Here's a link to the Ebay store that I got it from:

Thing I liked about this store is their shipping is lower. Was only $12 for shipping. Most of the others I saw were closer to $20.

i buy blanks and burn my mp3's to them. i can fit 40+ mp3's/disk. with a stash of 6 disks i could make it through a 12 hr shift easy. the player and 16 disks ran me just under $100 not a bad value for making your dl'd music portable. 1AA lasts 36hrs as well.

Just wanted to dig this thread up for a minute to show off mine which I got in the mail today. It's pretty cool! Not too big. Easy to use and tons of info on that little screen! Sounds good and is very easy to use.

Pretty slick. How is the audio quality? What about FM reception? Good? Bad? Ugly? Any problems plugging it into a tight spot on the back of a computer?

Sound is good so far. It has 6 preset EQ settings including Classic, Normal, Rock, Jazz, Bass and Pop. I haven't tried the FM yet. As far as plugging it in, you have 2 choices. It comes with little like 2" straight adapter that you can just plug into the player and USB port, but that would have the player sticking straight out of your computer about 8". It also comes with a regular cord that will hook it up so you don't have to worry about it sticking out.
Here's the whole package:

Looks like a nice package. I've been looking to upgrade my pen drive. Might have to take a closer look at one of these. :)

Looks great. I was using mine at work today. It was nice working today and not hearing anyones mouth.... it will certainly work better then my Ipod at the gym and worked great while i was on the cruise.
