LOL... i like the queston from the guy asking if it will set off radar detectors....he will have his own little speed trap

but i didnt know they could be bought that cheap...pretty cool

Bringing this back up since I have been looking at them for real speed claims. Anyone have any input on how well they work?

Well they seem to measure speed pretty good. At least the bushnell one that I used yesterday seemed to work pretty acurate. Tested it with real vehicle then my hyper 7.

Very you push the button to turn it on. Then the trigger as the car is coming up to you. It will read the speed as it increases until you let go of the trigger. It was basically squeze the trigger and you got your speed.
How user friendly is it?

Is there a Max/ or Hold feature?

I do not know. It is my friends gun that we were using. It held the speed after you let go of the trigger if that is what you mean. I can ask him on the details and get back to you on it. I just turned it on and pointed and pulled the trigger and watched it go up until I let go of the trigger. And the final speed stays on the screen until you push the trigger again or turn it off.

OK you answered my question. Thanks!

Not a problem. If you would like to know more I will ask my friend for the specs of the gun and can get you the answers.

That feature alone will be sufficient enough to get one. I just didn't want whoever was clocking me do it wrong. That works for me.

holly crap look how old this post is....dec. 2004 Right out of the archives

I like my hot wheels one....it may not be 100 percent accurate.....but I got it for 20 bucks and I relly only need to measure the SIZE of my horespower every once in awhile....;)
