Their's much to be said for somone that literally works for his material things. I bought my father a new car for X-mas last year not the other way around...lol.

I had 2001 M3......sold a house we owned and payed for it with a bag of cash with the equity. I loved that phucking M3 but I couldn't justify the insurance rates. A sad reality for a almost 25 year old with a 5 year old dwi.....my phucking mistake...eh. The RX-7 does allot more for the EGO then the M3 did but damn that car was smooth. Was gonna do STillen Supercharged and the whole nine yards. I've driven the M5 on a track in north Italia.....wow but it's like 70+k.

Vets are great but you'd think they design them for taller people. Hell, most any Ferrari (granted they average $150K new) has way more head room and overall space and adjustability then even the most UBER expensive VEt;.

Ok, not to step on any toes or make this a pissing match but it all comes down to preference. Some like imports some like european and detroit muscle only fuels some libido's. Hey to each his own.

I myself, will not buy a japanese import BUT i can appreciate the engineering. As far as durability, I hate it when people say that one manufacturer will outlast another ... yadda yadda yadda. In my experience, a cars longevity is only as good as the person maintaining it. I've got a 72 Pontiac here with the original 350, only overhauled once in 1989, and it still is running strong ... STOCK!. Out of the box, it still run's high 14's. IT's all in the upkeep.

The car's like a woman, abuse her and she'll take all your money and leave ya hangin!

NOW that I have all that out of the way, would you rather have the revamped Cobra or the original (even the replica cobra's make my mouth drop)

I choose the first. As I said, to each his own ... V10 or not, I still prefer the 427 side oiler. That's the difference between a trend follower and a connoisseur.

As I said, I don't want to turn this into a pissing match or even worse, make it a "Bench top" drag race. Some live for the 1/4 mile ... some live for the endurance race ... I just love the detroit muscle. BTW, Panoz isn't the only exotic american out there. Don't forget the Saleen S7. Now that's an exotic.

Dude, that's a Lamborghini Diablo. Nice car, but I think the Ferrari Marrenelo looks better.

I prefer the original Cobra, too. I just tend to prefer the older cars. I still think that new Cobra looks like it sat on the banana.

muscle cars only have 3-4 gears cause thats all you have time for usually in a 1/4 mile
fwd blows cause it can't get the traction that a rwd or awd can
toommany unknowns people have about cars the c6 vette will be getting like 600 hp and lb-ft

Got something against VW's? I wouldn't knock any of them. VW has a new luxury car out for around $80,000. that can hold it's own against the the rest of the pack. The Phaeton comes with a v8 or the 12. And then there is the Touareg suv with the v10 package. 7,700 lb towing copacity with publication honors to spare. Then again I'm only joking or will you make me say girls again?

Savage - DUde, do you even know the history of Porsche and Volkswagen??? Ferdenan (first name spelling) Porsche invented the VW...he actually made the VW BUG specifically for Adolf HItler (if you'd ever driven the og bugs you'd think he was trying to kill him..hehe). The Bug represented a cheap assembly line car made by the people for the people. Porsche and VW have completely different engineering teams...period. Anyone that makes the genralized and idiotic remark like yours obviously hasn't driven any high performance VW much less a real water boxer Porsche.. I've never tuned a Porsche (maybe if I was a millionaire) but I've driven plenty (got to do three laps in a GT2 in Italy). I've tuned some Volkswagens over the years that where rediculou in terms of power and handling. The VW VR6 and the relatively new VW 1.8T are AWESOME tuning platforms.

I wanna ask you guys your thoughts on these type of cars. I mena these super cars with V12,V10 etc are sweet sweet and all and expensive but do you guys ever feal they are over rated and just played dont get me wrong I like them and they look good and go fast but i just get tired of hearing about Porshe,Lamborigini(SP) Ferriai(SP) sorry never took the time to figure those words....what about u guys
