well thank you all guys, i decided to paint it lime green, cuz we have some of that left over.

I like bright colors for RC stuff. You will always know which one is yours.
Next you will have to paint your bodies the same color.

update: i put hasps on , and put a handle and weighed it and it weighs 65 lbs:OMG: but as long as i can keep everything i need in one place i like it

That is one heavy field box...I think someone suggested adding wheels...I second that thought. You may want/need them to move it around easily. Mine is on wheels and weighs less than yours by half.

i think i will detach the bottom where the rustler goes and just use the top tool box, this kills a LOT of weight.

How about redesgning just the bottom part with lighter wood?
I assume you used something like 1/2" plywood. Try this, get youself some 1" square stock and 1/8" luan ply. use the 1" to build a frame and cover it with the luan if you frame it properly it will be very strong and light weight. If you need help with the design or have any questions, let me know, I will be more that happy to help

WOW! 3/4" that thing is bullit proof. You coul lighten it up alot.

well i would like to redo it out of aluminum but my dad said forget it, but he did say i could rebuild it out of wood or something we had around the house. give me some ideas as to what i could remake it out of

i use a stanley rolling tool box. its about 3 feet high and everything detaches. it can be seperated into 3 different cases. i love it.
