First of all I'm a noob lol... But i researched all the break in methods etc, and i did have the motor going! After about 3 stalls i can't get the thing to start again, and to make things worse now when i turn the receiver and transmitter on when i operate the throttle it opens n closes as usual but when i operate the steering the wheels dont turn but instead it opens the throttle n keeps it locked... WTF is going on lol has something ceased on me?

Check ur glowplug. As for ur tx and rx, I'm not sure, make sure ur batteries are full

With the glow plug, i put it in the glow heater, out of the car. to see if the plug was lighting up and it does... BUT it doesn't light all the way up to the end of the tang so to speak should it be?

Lean the LSN a 1/4 turn and turn the idle up a bit with the idle screw. Sounds like you are flooding it.
Do not open the throttle past 1/4 while trying to start it.
Preheat the engine with a hair dryer for 5 minutes before you start it.
It'll fire right up hopefully.
as for your radio issues.....good luck. It could be low batteries, a loose crystal or broken crystal, bad rx or tx.

Its an Ansmann Terrier, is my first RC.

After hours of frustration I took the thing back to the store I bought it from and after an hour of fiddling the guy got it going for me.

The electric issues i was having was a battery problem in the receiver, even though they were brand new batteries they were'nt putting enough charge out ( they werent a no name brand either ) so i bought some batteries from the store and that fixed that.

The issues with not being able to start the thing, just took some tuning of the motor. So my RC is a goer now =)

Thanks for your comments and support

Good deal, hope you paid close attention. Half the fun is doing it right yourself.
Buy a good RX pack, it willl save you a fortune in AA batts and deliver more performance + more runtime.

I Agree with scrogg, an RX pack (6v or 7.2v) has saved my butt plenty enough times in relation to running time,

The other thing i would say, is that if you are not running a DSS (digital spread spektrum) or DSM (Digital Sequencing Modulation) radio like spektrum, futaba etc etc and just running on the 27, 40, 75MHz etc etc radio band, go and buy a failsafe unit (FSU). It is the ONLY thing that will prevent a runaway under loss of signal or low battery. The only other thing i would suggest is a fairly strong throttle return spring as a secondary redundency option should your failsafe not kick in.
