Thanks guys, I will grab a few different weights, I'll probably start with 50.

Still waiting on a shock shaft, this sucks... I buy a new truck break it in then it's down for 2 weeks because of a shock shaft...of all parts a damn shock shaft. Good news is I've been making some extra $ at my LHS by working on cars. I just got a T-Maxx and a Losi 8ight going for some guy, they had been sitting up for a few years, that Losi has me wanting a 1/8 buggy lol. I also grabbed a brand new Onyx 235 for $50, and should be getting a Jato roller for $40.

My LHS, for some reason Horizon held his order for a week and didn't tell him. He is waiting on my shaft and he is now out of helicopters until this order comes in, hopefully it will be Friday. It all started because I ordered the TiNi shafts and they were in stock when he ordered them, then the shipment came in and they were backordered, that's when I decided to get a regular shaft and that's the order that was held. It was kind of funny listening to him on the phone with the guy from Horizon.

Well picked up my shock shaft yesterday :celebrate: Ran it today and not only did I have to put up with kids asking if they could drive it, but I also lost the grub screw that locks the front drive shaft to the input on the front diff this was less than 1/2 a tank in. I swear someone/something does not want me to enjoy this truck. At least this should be an easy fix.

Ha not gonna happen :hehe: I am going to do a complete tear down and rebuild like I should've when I first got it.

Well my LHS just earned a few more points with me this morning, I went in looking to order a set screw and after he ordered it we were looking at the parts wall. He pulled a $20 Ofna part down and told me "here this has one" when I saw the tag I told him I'd wait thats when he opened it and tossed the screw to me NO CHARGE. He said no one buys that buggy stuff any ways so he wouldn't miss much.

Wow, sounds like a great guy. I have a feeling the guys at my LHS would do something similar like that for me as well. Lets see if this time you can make it through at least one tank before breaking something else. :hehe:

I've found that I have to use RPM front arms, tini front shock shafts, and I do alot of jumping with mine so I use 60wt shock oil with yellow shock springs. That set up for me works really well.

I have a full set of TiNi shafts on order but they are backordered, once they come in I will build the alluminum shock bodies I've got sitting on my bench. The RPM arms will come soon enough:D I still need to stress test the stock ones.

Honestly unless you just want spare the front is the only place you need the TiNi. I've never bent a back shock. Never broke a rear arm either....its always the front. I snap front arms like theyre nothing. alot of people say you need aluminum shock towers too but I never broke a stock tower.

I'm building a spare set, I got a set of BNIP aluminum bodies for $30. I figure if I'm building them I may as well spend the extra $8 for the better set of shafts.

Well, I broke my pull start, called Losi/Horizon about it and even though my trucks over a month old they still sent a replacement out no questions asked. I must say they do have excelent customer service. I'm going to pull my starter off and see if it's just stuck or is actually broken, if it's broken I'll just remove the string and still use the roto start until my new one arrives. I knew I shouldn't have used the pull start but I left my starter wand inside. I've used it a few times before but was having a time getting it started this time and I guess I got a lil' carried away and underestimated my own power (beefcake).

MudSlinger, how's your roll bar working out for you? Put it to the test yey? I slid on mine for about 20'-25' across an outdoor basketball court, it's nice and shiny up top now lol.

Quick question to anyone running the Losi 454, how hard should it be to turn the LSN? I've only dealt with the TRX engines so I don't have anything else to compare it to but when I adjust mine it takes a good bit more force than the traxxas ones. The actual slide that the collar mounts to moves before the screw so when making my adjustments I really have to pay attention to how far it moves or I may not make an adjustment. I hope I've explained it enough.

I took it out for a little bash in an open field with a small jump I brought. Landed on the lid a few times and seems to be holding up well. I will really be putting it to the test once I finish break-in on the new mill. :D
