Stopping at LHS today to see if they have one to look at.

On display at LHS, sweet little ripper. They are not up for sale yet. Maybe they will part with it today?

Well I ended up ordering the fox bodied one. can't wait for it to show up. Had a few ebay bucks saved up so out of pocket was less than $400 .
Now I need to order a better servo, new scte 3.0 outdrives and drive shafts, skid plates, and mud guards. Oh and bearings for the steering.

Well ordered a savox sb2274sg servo
Ordered the scte 3.0 lightened diff outdrives(front, rear, and center) aluminum pin mounts and hinge pins, the 15° carriers, center shafts, and driveshafts.
Ordered the tenacity servo mount/radio box. Also ordered skidplates and mud guards.

Going to make this DB a real pro...

Just pulled the trigger on a arrma typhon. It was either that or this and came to realize that the typhon shares many parts with the other 6s line. The tenacity is still on my short list. Maybe Xmas. Keep us posted on this little mean machine.

I can't wait see these things. Desert buggies always get my attention.

I was thinking about turning my RC8.2e into a Nomad DB8, or SC8e, but one little part is on the discontinued list. That little part cannot be found anywhere so I sold my eBug. Really erks me that AE still selling the Nomad DB8s but nobody will be running them once the diff pinion gear wears out :dead:. I had a backup plan for the diff pinion gear replacement/workaround, but that involved buying new diff ring gears as well. I now have craploads of buggy tires in need of a buggy.

I got some other RCs to play with while my research continues on. Not to mention weather, and daylight time is starting to hinder my after work fun time. I definitely will be patient this time around when making new RC purchase.

I run my RCs in very dusty loamy stuff. The one thing that stopped me from the Typhon 6s was the rear stub axle design lets in too much dirt, and attacks the bearings something fierce.

Good to know. Thanks for the heads up

Well I ended up ordering a heatsink and fan from an arrma kraton 4s. Also picked up the aluminum rear gear box bearing inserts and the entire steering assembly from a scte 3.0 (with all the bearings and both the short and long steering connector pieces )

Have to wait a little bit before I can order the new dx5c

I saw a picture someplace of the Typhon with the Tenacity DB body on it and it looked pretty sick.

The db pro showed up today. can't wait for all my parts to show up to take this db to the next level

That's my home made tenacity truggy pro.

All put together finally. Well almost as I ordered the spektrum dx5c smart radio and the losi's new finned motor mount for the tenacity today. Also have two more 6500 mah 2s lipos coming.

I filled the diffs with 7k front, 10k middle, 5k rear. I haven't changed the shock fluid yet because I need to see how it drives first. I just need the weather to cooperate so I drive this thing. Very exciting!!!

Here are some of the parts I ended up installing.

I did drive one battery through the truck to see how it came out of the box. It's setup soooo tame out the box even with the avc turned off and the servo shouldnt be on anything other than a CHEAP rtr. I was expecting it to be a little more dialed in. With that said a servo change and a little setup adjustment it would be a whole different animal
