Looking for wheels that fit a 2000 Losi xxx buggy. Does anyone have suggestions? Are there mods to fit today’s wheels?

This is what I am running on my XXX-SCT

The SCB and SCT use the same wheels/tires.

i just checked. the JConcepts buggy wheels for my RC10 Worlds Car rerelease fit my XXXT. ether the offset or thickness of the hub is different (lots of threads showing on the axles so they may be a little more inboard? nothing shims couldn't take care of. or maybe its cause its a truck, idk). i can bolt them up and drive on them if i wanted to. so if they fit my XXXT the should also fit your XXX.
these are what i checked.

The XXXT and SCB/SCT axles are quite a bit different. Those wheels won't fit. The only thing I could find that kept the same track width was the stock SCT/SCB wheels, or the DE Racing ones I shared.

Shimming those JC wheels out that far is going to add a bunch of scrub steer, and make that buggy drive like crap. Then you have the whole issue with the rear wheels, not fitting on the hex, as the rear axles are longer as well.

DE Racing wheels look good on the XXX models too.

he's asking about a "2000 Losi xxx buggy" which is this.

I completely fabricated SCB in my mind there because I have been seeing them listed on ebay a lot lately 🤪

Carry on 😁

My front wheels have the original drive hex.

you have a newer version than what my XXXT is then. if it's a 12mm hex a Losi 22 front wheel might work. JConcepts has wheels for the AE B7 that might fit. there's a company called DE Racing that makes wheels that would probably fit. none of my buggies or stadium trucks are new enough to use a hex wheel so I'm at a loss on fronts.

JConcpets wheel that might work - https://jconcepts.net/mono-b5m-rb6-slim-front-wheel

The rear should be pretty easy to find a hex adaptor for 3/16" axle. Yeah, Losi font hexes predates the norm 12mm hexes with their wheels having very shallow cavity for the hex to mate up to. A regular buggy wheel from any manufacturer won't cut it unless you use maybe this:

It just so happens that I am currently working on getting my old XXX BK2 into racing shape. Your best bet here is adapting to modern hex wheels. I bought a conversion kit on eBay. Moto Obscura has some very nice machined rear conversion kits and the cheapest set of diff balls. Valkyrie RC Motorsports and Petit RC carry some parts. But eBay has been my best source for parts. Shock rebuild kits are available from Horizon Hobby.
