hey guys, I looking for an unexpensive on road car to mostly bash and may be do some racing with. I only have about 9 months in the rc hobby but I really love it. I was thinking on the traxas 4-tec but I don't know. it might be too fast for where I live. can you guys give me some other choices that dont go over $400?
thanks

HPI super nitro RS4 RTR, you can't go wrong. Unbeleivably fast and durable, and under$400.

Is this the only on-road you've seen or have? It doesn't come with a 2 speed and exhaust pipe. And with tire size of 2.2 there's not many tire selections available. Yes I have one and I regret buying one.

A very good car for bashing or racing is the TC3 or HPI Rs4. Can't go wrong with either choice.

i recently purchased a CEN GX1 from ehobbies.com it was 199.99 RTR with radio and 2 speed tranny the thing really moves :)

Anything other than running at a prpeared race track, it's bashing. Parking lots and other flat surfaces that are not prepared have pepples, rocks and whatever else on the ground that can damage the car. :bowned:

yea, you might wanna raise your suspension if your not sure if there are dips or anything in the parking lot i flipped my car on a rock the other day over a rock less then half a inch high

i was bashing with my car yesterday and well i met the wooden light post and just orderd 27 dollars in parts to fix it so it wasn't a bad wreck but it was cool. :)

thanks guys, i will keep that in mind. tell me what you think about the 4-tec.

I had a Traxxas 4tech. What a piece o poop car. I wouldnt buy another one for $10. Things suck. I wouldnt get one of them unless you like working on them alot more than driving them.

ok. u just saved me. thanks

what do you guys think about the new CEN that does ove 70 mph?

which oe is better, the rs4 3 or the rs4 3 evo?

yeah I'v heard the CEN is not good quality

is the super nitro RS4 any good?

From experience the Super Nitro is an ok car. It's not 1/10th scale and not 1/8th scale. It's a pain in the ass. There's not that many bodies for it's size. And like I said before, the tires are very limited. For the money go with the rs4 3.

Maybe I'm sick, but I get some weird satisfaction out crashing my car.

Get an rs4. Lots of hop ups and parts are readily avialable all over the net and just about any hobby store. When it comes to bashing, I would say availability of parts should be somewhere close to the top of your list.

Get a Nitro TC3 the refurbs from AE are in good condition and reasonably priced for the person just beginning.

ok thanks a lot guys

i will probably stay with the rs4 3 evo just because it has a 2 speed tranny and i like hpi. but i will keep the tc3 in mind.

i will let you know when i buy it. but i dont think it will be very soon.
