New Air Hogs Heli!

I actually wanted to try out a heli just recently. I figured "Why waste hundreds of dollars on a nitro or top scale model that I am just going to destroy due to n00bness" So I purchased one from Radio Shack. At first, it was really fun, but that little lipo battery can only hold a very small charge and I spent more time charging than flying. Plus, due to the lightness, the model I had had no rotor. Thye only thing it could do was slowly drift in any direction besides up and down.

Plus side, they are a bit cheaper, but my next heli will definatle be something BIG, they are easier to get used to from what I have heard.

I have a little heli that I got as a gift (from radio shack) and mine doesn't like to turn either.. That looks like it turns and handles pretty cool.

I also saw that boat/plane/ground rc thing. Thought it looked pretty cool. Was kinda spendy though if I remember right. It was over $100 (I guess thats not TOO bad, but for a cheaper brand.. ya know..)

The heli looks pretty cool. But they're asking $70 for it? They're starting to get a bit pricey. You can almost buy a simple fixed-pitch micro for that. I have a Picoo from RS and it's fun so I'll probably stick with that.

I've seen the Storm Launcher and I'm not too impressed. I followed a few threads over at RCGroups and they always looked way underpowered. Nothing worse than having to upgrade a $120 "toy" right out of the box. Again, probably better off buying a true flying hydro.
