I was wondering why I hadn't received an email that it shipped since they got their cash through PayPal on the 1st.
I looked up my account and see that it also shipped on the 1st, so I might have this bad boy for the weekend. :celb2::celebrate:

no, lol. A big box.

Wow thats gonna be awesome!

I've been working on it for 3 days now. All the parts you see have now been painted and assembled. I'll have some new pics up later
She sure is beautiful, but it's about 10 times more work that I expected to mount the machine inside it.

No hijack at all. Not many heli guys here. What size is the Schweizer on floats? I love those helis, and that's my next one, floats included.
My only nitro is a Century Falcon .46 and I'll probably be selling it soon. The electric helis have gotten absolutely amazing in a very short period of time.

The Schweizer is a .30 size, was a joy to fly as well. Unfortuneatly, i've sold off all me helis...have considered getting another but not too certain just yet...lol

Electrics have come along ways in a short time, your right about that, but i just love the sound i guess from the nitro models...had a few T-Rex 450's, 3 actually, they were a blast too.

I have to agree, the sound and smoke from a heli is something I really miss, but the Falcon was too big to fit in the trunk so it sat across the back seat to and from the field.
The smell of burned nitro inside the car is something I DON'T miss.

I'll try to get some more pics up later today. Making progress. :celebrate:

UPDATE:

Been a few days, but here's some more progress.

A major difference in the main gears. The white ones are new with the kit. The RPMs really need to come up to lift this bird with less collective to reduce overheating.

Here's the biggest problem. A low tail boom in the Apache fuselage. This is the entire mechanical assembly of the original heli, and it ALL has to come apart.

These are the 'Low Rider' side frames.

Early test fitting

I installed some LEDs before I glued the wings on. The bulbs gave off the right color, but they were clear when they were off. Just to make them look right I dipped them in some Spaz Stik hard anno red and teal.

Rocket and missile pods assembled and painted.

Full fitting with battery in the nose.

Cooling fans added to ESC.

Stay tuned. A whole lot of detail work has been done.

Seiko, my "Watch" dog, always watching. :)

Nice work Rolex, can't wait to see it all done up. LMAO at seiko the watch dog.
She's a she. My last watch dog was a guy named Rolex. He was laying at my feet on the day I joined this forum.

Last night I finished all the airbrush work, the decals and the weathering. I also had it outside for some shots in natural light. I'll try to get them posted later today.
