Needle settings for a XTM Pro

no two settings on a car will be alike, it all depends on yoiur setup, the climate and how your using the car. so you just have to tune your engine for what you want out of it.

http://www.nitrorc.com has great info on nitro cars

http://www.nitrorc.com/reference/etuning.asp for tuning the engine

be patient and you will prolly need a temp gun, you can only do so much with the spit test.

I thought you said you were faster than everyone else in This Thread?

How can you be faster than everyone else if you can't set the needles?

alright i am guessin that u are runnin the xtm 24.7 right? if so i think the hsn is around 3 1/2, then the lsn is about 8 turns out.

i found this engine does not liek to run hot, so keep it a bit rich.

as for ur boggin out at full. lean ur hsn out just a hair.

Keep your temps above 220 and below 280. No two days are the same and neither are the settings. Too low of a temp and your sleeve won't expand correctly. Too high of a temp and you'll overheat and eventually render your engine useless, unless you use it as a paper weight.

i have found all 3 of my xtm 24.7 non-pros make the most power at about 200-230...any hotter than 240 and the low end gets a bit soft. BTW to anyone with a 24.7 I've found dynamite 1/8 scale racing plugs (cold) work great with these engines.
