Needing some help with tuning… R/C WONT START

I just bought a Traxxas with a trx2.5 engine and I’m trying to tune it.
The first problem I’m having is it takes forever to get the engine to start up, I’ve got the low speed needle set at factory as well as the High speed needle but I have jacked with the idle speed screw so much I have no idea where to have it set.

The second problem I’m having is when it does finally start it dies immediately then ill start it again and it will die immediately again this continues as long as I keep trying, Can someone assist me on what screw or needle I need turn to fix this…your help would be greatly appreciated

The car was running ok earlier today but my idle was going up and down so much (plus I had to leave) that I just put it up for about 2 hours, when I got back I tried to start it but the idle some how changed because the car started to accelerate real fast and would not de-accelerate, I had to shut it down and for fear of jacking up the engine I decided not to attempt starting it again until I got some assistance on how to fix this.

Nice find! Is the motor new or used? Have you tried a different plug? Also your idle stop should be set so the carb is open about 1 mm when you look into it with the filter off. It's sounds as though you may have an airleak, which is very common in the 2.5 mill. But also check your fuel lines for any small holes. Which Traxxas product did you get? T-Maxx, Revo, Nitro Rustler?
