Need To Know Which Servos to use.

Allright I have a mbx-5 and I need servos. I was going to buy two airtronics 94358z servos for both throttle an and steering Is That allright or should I use something different for throotle. I was told that the 94358 was a great servo and it would be great for the steering servo but have no clue about the throotle servo. Do I need a 105.00 dollar servo for throotle I need help. Please leave replies If you know about servos Thank you.

if you want to run airtronics the servos to use are the 94358 and the 94357, put the faster one on throttle, and the stronger one on steering. good strong responsive servos make a world of difference in the handling, responsiveness, and braking power of a buggy.

I use JR8611 for steering and Futaba 9541 for steering.....have no opinion on the airtronics but the JR is a tank.....takes more abuse than any Hitec, Futaba, or some XTM servo I had ever did....

I'm presently running the 8611 for my steering and WAS running a Z590 for my brakes/throttle, that is until tonight, as I wiped out two Z590's in a row! Any suggestions as to waht's causing that? Besides the 8611 @ $100.00, what else is available for steering in the 1/8 scale that's fast and strong? I just picked up a "Bluebird" BMS-620MG for $35.00 locally. Any suggestions on sources to purchase online and what would be best for steering, thrttl/brk.

you cannot go wrong with the 357 and 358. they are used my many a Pro for a reason. i have had mine for over a year with no prob.

sarge I found the Futaba 9541 to be a nice servo it's still 75 or so but well worth it....are you killing throttle servos? you might be doing what I was and setting your EPAs to far....meaning you're allowing them to move too farpast what the linkage is allowing......

Last nite mills pond was awsome....I ran my Fantom .27 in my XB8 and it was untouchable running at 3/4 throttle I had to set the EPA cause it was over shooting every turn when I hit full throttle any where......and I ran it REAL FAT on the bottom toonever got over 220 all night.......ROCKET

If you haven't already bought servos, I would suggest Hitec servos. This is one of the few cases where you don't get what you pay for. By that I mean, for only 40-50 bucks, you can get servos with well over 100 oz-in of torque, ball bearings and metal gears, without the sticker shock of an airtronics or something like that. I run the hitec 645mg. These are older, I think they have a 655 now.

I think that may be what happened, as the Radio read 90%. So I re-set it to 40% and will install a new servo to test. I just bought two new servos, aFutaba 9451 and an Irtronics 357, both Digitals. I'm thinking of using one in my Mayhem.

I just picked up a bunch of the bluebirds 620-630-and a couple 615?? not sure of the model on the last one. They seem great so far. MG 199oz Tourque @6v AWESOME!!!!! we shall see how well they stand up. Even if they are just mediocre you can't beat the $20-$30 price.
