I redid some stuff on my savy over the winter, and finally got it all back together. My question is..

On my throttle/break servo theres the horn for the break and then the one for the throttle on top of each other. (The top one for the throttle, the bottom for the break..correct?) The one for the break seems to be pulling and pushing really well, but the throttle part seems to be really slow.. I losened the screw on the little "L" piece which seemed to help a little bit. Is there something I'm doing wrong? It open and closed the carb well before..

2nd, I got a hump pack (need a charger yet) anyway, I put it in and plugged it in just for shits and giggles to see if it did have any juice in it (which it had a little), anyway after I took it out, I put the normal battery pack thing in (with brand new batteries) and now it wont power up. I checked all the plugs and everything seems in order. I tried another set of batteries and same thing. So I tried the hump back in again, and it works fine.. Anyone know what might be causeing this?? I'm stumped :ponder2:

Have you tried the linkage mod? A lot of people like it from what I've read. Maybe it's binding at the L? As for the batteries???? Maybe something came loose??? Maybe they're crap batteries??? Maybe you had a blonde moment and stuck them in backwards?? I suggest looking for stupid little things that you might have done. It's really easy to overlook them.

Ever watch mechanics training videos? If a customers car doesn't start what do you do? Check if they have gas.

try checking to see if the battery cage leads' plug is in the right way round, I've done it a few times mesen (myself).

As for your hump pack, use a 6v pack, get a "Y" lead, install it in the channel 2 slot, clip the servo in one side of the "Y" lead and the battery swith plug in the other. Result ? 6v direct to your servos, faster servo response, plus, if you have a fail safe unit, it doesn't affect it as it simply powers it as per normal except at 6v, rather than the 4.8v the receiver would normally allow.

Its what i do, and I've never had a problem. The only thing i WILL say , is make sure that you charge the hump pack before every run, that way you know its not going to be a problem. I charge mine the night before i run and since i have done this and got into this habit, I've never so much has had an accident due to receiver battery failure.

Did ya put the linkage in the same place?
Move it out on the servo arm, it will move faster.
Just a thought.....

Yeah everythings the same. I'm gonna try to get the battery thing working and see if its just lack of battery power.. The battery thing is what has me puzzled. I dont know why the hump would work but the regular battery pack wont. I've tried about 4 different sets of brand new batterys, checked the plug into the reciever, checked how the batteries are installed (About a half a dozen times..lol) and still no go.. Looks like Ill just have to wait till I get a hump pack charger to take it for a rip. Definatly weird though.

Don't remember how it the linkage came apart. I know it was screwed up from what I was used to though. I never had to deal with something like that before...
Did ya miss something there?

Nah I dont think so. I didnt really mess with the radio box crap at all. I removed the whole box but that was about it. has me stumped..lol.. All I can think is the wire goes into the switch and only thing I can think of is the wire came undone of something back in there or the switch is bad. The hump gets plugged right into the "B" in the reciever right? The switch will still work then wont it?

Not talking about the radio box. The linkage.

If I remember right... wasn't the way the servo horns put together different? Been a long time since I had mine apart, but it seems like there was something in it that if ya got it together wrong, it didn't work right?

Seems to me if it works the brakes right, something is wrong with the linkage someway?

Battery plugs into the switch. Switch plugs into the "B" on the receiver?

Yeah. The plug wire to the on and off switch then the reciever. Just curious if with my hump that goes directly to the B on the reciever if the switch will still work.

I didnt take the horns off the servo or anything. Just the linkage itself. I have that part hooked up right, I looked in the book. Honestly I just think its because of the low battery, but I can't tell 100% cuz I can't get my normal batteries to work and I need a hump charger yet...lol...

The hump pack would plug in the same place the battery pack was...
Plug it to the "b" on the receiver, it's on all the time?

Linkage on the same place on the throttle?
Starting to grasp at straws now.... Only other thing I can think of... Sorry...
