Ya know - I dont agree with you about the 'Race Only' statement. In reality, I would really like to see you VIDEO TAPE your Traxxas hitting a pile of full beer cans at 45 mph and not break anything myself. Or your AE.

I have a XXX-NT and have only taken it to a track ONCE. The rest of the time it has spent in bash sessions. The ONLY thing I have ever broken while driving was the front bumper. And that was at WOT into a brick wall off of a jump. And thats all that broke. I have launched this thing off of jumps 25+ feet in length and 8-10 feet high and have never broken anything either. Yes, it helps that I can land it. But maybe thats because it was made for racing and VERY easy to control in the air.

I have broken more on my TMaxx and Kyosho Inferno than I have on my XXX-NT.

If you know how to drive, bashing or not, you will walk away with less broken every time. Things like clutches, mills, and electrics are all incidentals.

Chris, my RC10 does that. Unbelievably only one WOT gave me a problem.. that was an A-Arm. And I believe it was broke before it happened. The AE I have now is about as tough as they come. I haven't broke a dang thing in the last 1.75 gallons or so... (I ran about a quart today :D ) Nothing's broke. It's just a balls out machine. And that includes the most awesome thing I did today. EHEHEHEH I saw nieghbors dog.. So did RC10.. We gave chase... Right into the dogbox LOL I had to wait for the dog to leave to get it. I watched the left wheel clip the edge of the opening at probably ... 25mph or so.. The wheel popped off, but that's the job of the nylon nut :) Give way before the other parts do. And they are REALLY cheap, so... I'd rather replace a 5 cent nut then a 10 dollar set of arms.

:)

Chris, if you're ever in eastern ohio, let's get together an backwoods bash! :) Our trucks would do great with eachother :)

I also will add this.. When it comes to bashing, the RC10 has beating a Traxxas Nitro Stampede, Traxxas T-Maxx, Axis Buggy, Savage, and what the hell that other truck was.. It broke first, maybe that was a duratrax.. It looked like a halfbreed. Stadium truck size with monster sized tires? I dunno...

I also can outrace that buggy, the nitro rustler that was there friday night was nothing compared to me. He may of had me on the straight stretch, but the first turn came to him smacking the fence. :) And as for the T-Maxx, just a different class, they can't compete with a Stadium Truck on the track :) Still fun though.

I agree - my point was that the XXX-NT isnt as fragile as it was made out to be.

And you bet, whenever I get out that way we will definately hook up and bash! I'm still working on putting together a Buffalo Bash!

Ohh? Got 400 bucks for a plane ticket and hazmat shipping? LOL I'd be there if so LOL

It's not fragile in the least. It's actually nicely built. But remember this! It will break, no matter who or what you think you have. Something is bound to break. Right chris? :)

I know this, I'm due for a big break. 1.75 gallons and no breakage... What's coming for me? A chassis? LOL

my losi (electric) was very durable. it did have one problem , i ran it head on into my stampede , both going full speed, and both modified to be real fast. and i snapped an A arm and shock tower, another time i was driving in the hallway at my dorms,,, full speed, then lost controll and hit a door jam and snapped in half... it was plastic then . now its all graphite.... either way , its a very durable and controlable car, i have NEVER been to a track , EVER. i just bash around, and now I'm getting a savage, so my losi is going to be my truck that i use for "tricks" ... like jumping over stuff, and off of stuff ... they are very controlable, and great cars (trucks)

Can your losi hit 45mph on a straight and hit a pile of beer cans(full) and smash em all without a scratch? Can it be slammed into the curb at about 30mph with offroad tires and not break anything? Can it even hit 40 mph stock? Your best bet it with a Traxxas or AE. Losi are pure racing machines. AE is kinda too but tougher. [move]-Kellen[/move]

Who cares about running your truck into a 12 pack? I mean to each his own but my purpose when I run my Nitro powered RC's is not to run it into stationary objects full of liquid. Now if your using that as an example of the overall tuffness of the truck than dont you think maybe a real world senario would do better, like extreme jumping, hitting a curb, or tire of a parked car?

Losi's are brittle from what I have seen but thats 1 truck out of how many they sell? I know the reason they break, if you look at their parts they are all as light as possible. The A-arms and shock towers are the weakest links in my unexperienced opinion. My bet is if you had so aluminum A-arms and Aluminum Shock towers for bashing you would be just fine. If you race throw back on the thin plastic or graphite. As for the Losi's speed: Ok this is a fully stock Lossi XXXNT and the thing was running temps of 220 and it could hang with my 2.5 in my Maxx. Now granted he is lighter and thats why he was keeping up because the 2.5 is more powerfull than his stock engine. The Losi slow? I think NO.

The losi isn't slow. As for light weight.. Yes, that's because it's missing alot of toughness in the "durability" area.. And that sacrifice went to the racing area. I'm not going to say it's a bad basher. But it will break. Lighter racing materials aren't as strong as heavy duty stuff.

STILL. It's not weak. I'll repeat myself. EVERY TRUCK WILL BREAK. Unless you leave it in the box and never run it, it will break something eventually. That's part of this hobby.

They do make an indestructable truck though... It's called a full wallet. If you don't buy one, you can't break one right? :) Kinda like a whole pinapple :) *looks at chris* LMFAO :) I had to man hehehe

i agree, i have never ( and wouldn't have even thought of) run in to a an innocent beer, but i have gone full throttle into a tire of a tracker only to have the ball cup pop off. As far 45 mph, I dont know if mine can or not, but i havent seen too many that can go 45 out of the box AND handle well. but these are my opinions and like i said i am very new to the hobby.

Hmmmm....

I ran my electric brick off of my roof... (P-94 10t double, Super Rooster, 3000mAh NiMh's.. 7 cell)

Did'nt break a thing, and it was a good 13-14 feet of air. The nitro brick will not see such torture.:D

I have an Academy Nitro thats half the price of a AE. Adn its 4x4 with a 3mm pan and sealed radio and battery box, also has mean tires. Cr@p engine. My Electric Academy is also just as good, Personaly its a copy of AE and HPI put together, The parts are also nylon plus ABS moulded. Very strong
