need info on li-po & li-ion batteries

i'm trying to find info on the specific chemistry involved and charging practices for li-po and li-ion batteries. can somebody point me to a good source? i need the nit-picky technical stuff.

I personally would get in contact w/ Troy @ www.b-p-p.com he is extremely knowledgable when it come to the unique characteristics of these high energy batteries not only does he know alot about them he sells everything you would need to properly charge and maintain these batteries hope this helps good luck!

What I consider to be the best info on li-pos I've found. Includes damage reports (yes these babies will burst into flames on you if improperly charged, NEVER charge them indoors!)
