Mini maxx batteries

Howdy!
I was gifted a traxxas mini maxx with a broken rear diff. Got the diff fixed and back together, took it for a spin, it runs great.
The battery that came with it is the traxxas 2s lipo 3500 mah with the dumb usb-c charger. I don't like that you can't see the balance of it or even put in "storage" mode.
I've been trying to find a comparable 2s lipo that will fit in the battery tray.
I've seen some so-so things about Hoovo and Zee (both Amazon specials) and would like a quality battery.
I normally use SMC batteries, but I dont think they have one that would fit.
If you got recommendations let me know.

I use a liperior 2200 3s from RCbattery.com
Use a washer under the locking arm where it is screwed in to get a little more height. It’s a tight fit. You will have to solder on some new connectors. Got with an xt60 or the ec3 on the esc and order the battery with one of those connectors.
Best battery you can shove in that truck

Welcome to the site. I dont have a mini max but have the mini slash and mini summit. I normally use smc lipo also but got recommended to liperior and rcbattery for my minis recently. Good luck in your findings.

I'm not looking for 3s power lol. 2s will be plenty of power- it's for the Mrs. so she can have something to tool around with. Plus she's still learning throttle control.

Oh right, I have a hobbywing system in it now. That is why I use 3s.
They have a 2s battery that is similar in size

Right on! Looks like I'll be getting a couple then! It sucks it doesn't look like there's much room for any sort of mod to make the tray any longer. Like 20-30mm more would fit a standard battery i feel like

CNHL, I use their G+ 2200 70c 2s and 3s versions I find them to be very good and they fit the Traxxas minis and the Grom’s !!
