Hi guys i have bought a nitro CEN car off ebay. Car is starting and running fine, problem is that i can only control it when it is right beside me as soon as the car goes about 2 metres away from me it applies throttle and takes off away from me and hits off kerbs, walls etc or whatever gets in its way. If i start the car with the controller turned off it does apply a bit of throttle so basically the fault is with the controller or the receiver on the car, does anyone have any ideas? The batteries in the car and controller are brand new so that isnt the problem, the problem is that my car has a 2 metre range then i cannot control it! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Has the radio antenna on the receiver been cut or ripped off. My savage would do the same thing after i ripped off my antenna. Be sure to invest in a fail safe, it will save you a lot of headaches and broken parts.

Hi, not sure if the antenna has been ripped how can i tell?, i have ordered a fail safe but i can't drive my car more than two metres otherwise it flyes off so it is pointless, u think it is an antenna problem?

If it is a 27 mgh radio which i think it is, the antenna should be roughly 1-1 1/2 feet long. It might be something you can't fix however, your better off upgrading to a 2.4 ghz radio. Twice the distance and no glitches!

radio

Hi, its about a foot and a half the antenna so i dont think it has been cut short, how do i upgrade to a 2.4ghz radio? Do i replace the antenna or transmitter(Controller) or radio? Or both? The transmitter is on band 4 if that has anything to do with it?

The car does glitch a lot as well, the throttle glitches loads when i move the transmitter about in the 2 metre zone i have!!
