hey guys... I m new here... decided to try a new forum cause over where I was no one was answering...

I m into rc for a long time already but I always owned electric and now I want to get a nitro truck....

I was wondering if the VOLCANO SV by red cat is good for a starter truck... I will be buying the volcano sv pro....or u guys recommend anything else... I am willing to spend around 300....

some people recommended the nitro stampede but alot of people complains about their handling and having to change sterring servo.....

thanks

I have HEARD, and heard only, that Redcat Racing products are ok, but I can't personally vouch for them, although having, amongst other things, a VXL brushless Stampede, I can tell you that although a mountain of fun, they do tend to fall over.
I will assume the nitro would be top heavier still, so the problem would be exagerated.

redcat stuff is pretty good but if your bashing there a no-no they wanted 35 bucks for a pull starter on my buddys. they run good but parts are a monopoly to there website so yeah nice car as for parts have fun get a hpi or traxxas u can get used stuff reasonable priced change out the f/s f/t forum here and see if one of the guys has something

T Maxx

You can get a Traxxas t maxx 2.5 for $300 brand new. Check ebay, theres always deals on there. Plus if you get a red cat, you have to order parts and that just sucks. Almost all hobby shops carry tmaxx parts.

I already made an offer on ebay for a volcano sv pro 325 shipped... with starter kit and rechargeable battery for receiver... (just add fuel..break in and have fun)
I dont plan to be doing any outrageous stuff with it...
but I am looking into the TMAXX now tht brad55102 mentioned

tmaxx are nice also look into the losi trucks for around that 300 dollar mark 325 for a redcat is outrageous you can get a nice name brand for the same price the offbrands just arnt as good quality and parts arnt available it sucks to bash and then have to wait two weeks for parts to ship
