I have been out of the nitro monster truck seen for some time now and i am getting back in to it. I been trying to pick between a savage 4.6 or a tmaxx 3.3. I just can't find any good info to sell me the rest of the way. Can someone help me out with picking. some good info would be nice i want something i can beat and it comes back for more thank you. :\

If you're wanting out of the box durability, based on those 2, get the Savage. The T-Maxx is a good truck, but it takes a good bit of upgrades to take the amount of abuse a Savage can handle stock.

Most everyone on here is going to tell you to get the Savage. Most everyone who gets the savage takes off the engine and replaces it with a LRP engine. I had a Savage and I didn't like the engine at all. I replaced it with a XTM. I had the 3.3 Tmaxx. If I had to choose one, it would be the MAX. It ran better, handled better, and had an Ez start system. I beat it and never broke anything. I wouldn't have another Savage just because it has a pull starter.

The Savage is probably one of the strongest trucks around but from what I have read about it in forums, it seems like thats the main thing it has going for it. The TMAX may not be as strong but goes & handles better, yes you may need upgrades to make it stronger but then you need to upgrade the savage to make it go & handle better, so they both have their pro's & con's. You could also look at the Revo, handle's better than both even if they have upgrades & it go's well to & with a few upgrades can be made very strong.

I have both a savage and a maxx. The savage will out perform the max in everyway. The savage turns on a dime compared to my max. The savage is built to handle out of the box. Other than throwing parts at the Max I have tryed everything to get it to handle better

Thank you guys. I will not be racing so tight turning is not much of a factor. Sounds like the savage is the better choice after reading all that stuff on google lol and hear i am going to get a savage.

welcome to the savage world in advance... I'm sure you will like it and you will enjoy.
