Hi all,
Was out today with my car and it wasn't running right, if I touched the throttle and let go it would carry on going with half throttle, went to adjust the carb needles and noticed the idle screw was just spinning and wasn't making a difference to the idle gap.

The screw has come out of the carb and I can't get it to go back in its just spinning.
Does anyone has any idea what I can do or how to get it back in?

Thanks for reading.

Update, I've managed to get the screw in so the thread is fine, however when I got it back in the carb isn't opening and closing properly and the screw isn't making a difference to the idle gap?

The end of the screw goes in a slot in the slide. You will have to index it correctly or you will just bind up the slide.

When that screw comes out, the throttle slide/barrel rotates. The slide has a cutout in it's side for the screw to key into. You have to do as WVNed suggests before you put the screw in too far.
