Well i was out driving my Envader today,And my sisters b/f drove it in to the ditch by accident and in submerged in the water so i got it out and it still moved and we drove it around for a couple more minutes. Then it stopped so i took it inside and first i thought i burnt up the engine well when i put direct power from Batt to Motor it runs ,and it also steers with the the batt hooked through the ESC but the motor dont run.So i dont know what the is wrong with it  .

P.s. The engine is a Epics Speedwerks Triad 12T,The Esc is a Novak Dually Dual Profile.

Sry i just notice i posted this in General Nitro instead of General Electric,Mods Could you please move it.
Thanks

You need to throroughly dry out all the electronics. Water got into the ESC and/or the receiver. If you don't do it soon, contacts will corrode, and you'll have a real problem.

To dry out the Esc is there a way to take them apart or can i just use a hairdryer?

Thanks

Oh and thanks for moving thread.

It's been a few years since I had electrics, but mine went into a lake. The receiver cover has to come off, and the circuit board has to be blown off and dried with an air hose or hair dryer. I don't remember how to open the ESC, but someone here will give you that info.

Well The ESC did not get wet,so i guess i should just dry the Reicever out then.

Thanks i will see if that helps

Yes the parts that came in contact with water need to be opened up and all should dry.And let them dry about a foot over a heater(just to make sure all is perfectly dry)overnight.

Then reconnect and try again.

I did not not get to dryuing it since we were out late last night, well i turned it on and everything works fine.

You should still open it up and check. I saw a friend's MT run fine after hitting a bad puddle, and the next day, half way through a tank, it had a mad runaway.
Don't assume it's fine........it probably isn't.

Same thing happen to me. Hit the water never dried it at about two hours later the truck was wot out of control.

The receiver and the esc or what you need to worry about. It only takes a drop of water to hit the wrong spot to ruin either on of them. The motor can go under water many times before it will show any damage.

i once drove my evader into a creek right next to my friend and i's dirt jumps...right away i took apart the esc and stuck a blow drier on it and thourowly cleaned out my motor and it works fine.

good luck
