Hey guys.. i have a hpi mt2... this thing flys but not enough for me... i need a more powerful engine but have no clue what to look for... please help... also.. i have found that the servos are weak... i mostly just run in in my homade track in my backyard... but i am lookuing into racing cause my LHS is adding a 4wd nitro stadium truck class.... any help with a engine and/or servos would be a great help...

First find out if any engine is OK. Some tracks go by ROAR standards only.
Also I need to know your budget.
Top of the line is Novarossi but you'll pay dearly
Sirio also makes a great mill.
OS is known for there great tuning and durability.

I'm looking in the 150's...... is one better ..... pull or non-pull... slide or rotery?????..... any more motors or is that the best...

Welcome to RCNT. I just responded to your Fantom engine question. This thread started prior to that, and asks basically the same question. Please refrain from asking in two threads the very same question. That is considered duplicate posting.

As for servos, the HiTec servos are a great place to start.

Also, the O.S. 15 CVR-X rotary carb, std. shaft engine is a real good engine too. The Fantom will have more power and speed tho.

A freind of mine has the MT2 and he put in the OS .18 CV-rx. It moves but still screams for a 2 speed. I would suggest both. Then again, as ratzo stated, find out what the track allows and disallows so that you won't be disappointed. BTW, get it with a slide carb. Throttle response off the line is much better than a rotary.
