i ve ordered an ansmann racing virus 2 kit but i can't pick what engine to get for it would like some input on what would be a good one (easy to set up and keep a tune)
....

Actually you need a big block engine not a small bloc or mid block as was suggested above. Ok it really depends on what you want to do with it...race or bash? Either one a good .21 should do the trick. I like OS in buggies. Now the point is do you want a bump start, pull start or a rotor start? There are tons of choices out there.

i have had the virus and vapor. both with the ansmann engines. the vapor had the .28 engine and that was crazy fast. a serious piece of kit. the virus had the ansmann .21 engine. just as good but not as much power. These would be really easy to stick in as thats what their made for. I've just put a hpi savage 25 engine in my VRX buggy. loads more power than the standard 21. But it depends what your looking at doing. Bashing or racing?

just for bashing would like to be racing but can't find any clubs near me and on the starting piont pull starts fine for now but might go to the roto start later

do you think the ansmann .28 would be ok in it or is it over kill??

A .28 is over kill I had a LRP 28 in my Ofna Jammin buggy and it could never hook up traction. I put in a .21 and it was faster. All depends on what you want. Honestly I am happier with the .21 it has a lot more top end speed. The biggest I would go would be a .25 or .26 really.
