i have a kodak easyshare c533 camera it works perfect the only problem now is it won't upload pictures and vis to my computer anymore it used to but not now any ideas on whts wrong? i could really use the help.

Fairly easy to solve...

Uninstall the drivers via the Device Manager? (plug in the camera, open the device manager, and remove all mentions of the camera.. Then unplug and plug it back in).

If that doesn't cure it, reinstall the software?

Absolute last resort, and personally how I use my camera; a card reader. Kodaks' use an SD card, so any USB SD card reader (you can get them at walmart for about $10, give or take, cheaper on ebay) will do. It will allow you to browse the card and drag-n-drop your photos right off.

Post back with any results from the above advice, and we can possibly help you along further.

Are you getting a message on the screen?
Not to overlook the obvious but after connecting the USB cable, do you remember to turn the camera on?
When you do, do you get the USB 'on' sound from the speakers?

Just starting with the basics, first.

my kodak pops up as a drive in "my computer" when i plug it in, then like heartbreak said, i can just drag/drop, or copy/cut/paist, the pics of the camera through windows explorer.

I have 3 digital cameras, and when they are connected to the USB port or the mem card is inserted into the computer, the import program opens automatically and they all default to the same storage file. Once it opens, I can uncheck the ones I don't want, then just hit 'import'.
Try going to the control panel and check out 'Scanners and Cameras'. It's possible you've only lost the default setting.
If not, uninstall and reinstall the program with a cold boot after the uninstall. During the set up you'll get the options menu and choices available for how it will deal with it.
