So I inherited a slash 2wd from a buddy who had no use for it, (it was sitting for a few years) he gave me brand new pro line caliber sc tires for it. I seen on there website that they are discontinued. Are these tires any good?

Here is what the P-L website offers about them:

Features

  • Dual-stage pin design for exceptional tread life
  • Wider contact patch for improved traction in all conditions
  • Small top pin for light to heavy loose dirt
  • Base pin extraordinary on hard-packed/blue-groove surfaces
  • Square-lug technology throughout the tread design
  • Non directional tread design
  • Available in World Championship/extremely proprietary M2 (Medium), M3 (Soft) and M4 (Super Soft) compounds
  • Long life/lightweight closed cell foam inserts included (Gray Supplemental Foam Inserts Required when mounting tires on Stock Traxxas® wheels or other step down wheel designs)
How you intend to use the truck will depend a lot on whether or how they work for you. Good luck. Cheers. 'AC'

Hey fellow Marylander! 😁

They are brand new Pro-Lines, whether discontinued or not, they'll be good tires. 👍

Made for SCT. The treads are good for hard packed/loose dirt tracks. Might work well on carpets too, not sure as never raced on carpets.

Enjoy it. The 2wd Slash is fun. I just swapped out the brushed system for brushless and it's even more fun now!! 😁🤪

Thanks all!! Lol I already have a 2wd slash, so I swapped em out! I mainly run on dirt/grass, so these should work out great!
