need help naming a switch

i own a redcat racing earthquake 3.5 u guys may remember helping me with this truck in the past but today i was driving it and my dad named some kind of switch that shuts the truck off if it loses connection with the radio and neither of us can remember what it was called if any one knows i would love it if u could tell me thank you:)
 
Failsafe.

Doesn't work if you loose battery though. You should rig up a TRS (throttle return spring) in the event that you loose power. The FS will help with signal loss/interference and low batteries, but not complete power loss.

The TRS only needs to be strong enough to pull the servo back to idle if power is lost, it doesn't have to overpower the servo when power is applied:

Sometimes you have to get creative with hooking it up, but it's a second defense against a run away truck.

I don't care for the traxxas ones, they are way too stiff.

The only thing you can't protect against is if your servo bugs out on you (electronic failure) and goes to wide open. I've had that happen a few times... usually right after a servo got wet. It's funny how they never go to full brake!
 
thanks everyone lol rolex i think that I'm going to go with the one that olds97 said and set up one of those springs
 
if you have to bend a spring do it cold. heat, torch, will ruin the spring. i would call it snappy.
