check out ebay, 300 isnt much to work with when you start! you need a lot of extras to get started. If its your first RC save up some more cash and buy new. If you know what you are doing you can find some ok deals on ebay.

bduce, i dont know what you're on about. i have an ansmann virus 1/8th. this is the sort of car lukio is looking for. mine was £200+. its german, and high quality. remember this is his first nitro rc car, and hasnt had any experience, and because i have the ansmann virus, if he gets the same one, i can give him help on what to do and what not to do.
Yeah, the prices you're on about are stupidly high for a first car, that price range is intermediate.

Must be your buddy wants something else, he's here asking people what to get. I think he want to one-up your virus.

Hey Matwadz! calm down...... if you dont like the advise keep quite. this is a fun and friendly forum. I'm just giving my opinion. doesn't matter if he is a begginer or not, the price range is still going to be high if he wants a nice RC. You need to remember that when you first start you have to buy lots of extras and will need parts that you break.
