Here's the setup, I was running my Savage at a local field today and all was well. The truck was running right along and all was right with the world when I got a total loss of control. Off she went at WOT :wtf: , all the way across a baseball diamond and into a ditch, hmm. Checked it out, nothing broken but I have absolutely no response to my radio now. :radio: I've checked all the connections, changed all the batts to make sure that wasn't it, and checked the antenna. I know the rx is getting juice cause when I turn it on the servos reset just fine. I even rechecked when I got home to make sure it's not interference.

Thoughts anyone?

That's gonna be in the same order that the 3 speed tranny is in.
I got lucky this time in a big way.

If you are running the stock crystal make sure the one in the Rx is all the way in. After a wipe out like that you may have just jarred it loose. Otherwise, yep, sounds like you rattled the guts of the crystal too hard and now you need a new one.

Or you rubbed a whole in a wire somwhere. I've done it, but normally it only gives erratic radio problems, not a fully dead unit.

Also, try and bypass your switch by plugging a battery pack right into the reciever and see if it works then. Switches can be annoying as well. I haven't used a switch in over 3 years. It's one of the first things I bypass with any new vehicle. I just use a servo extender and leave the battery lead hanging outside somewhere safe with one end of the extender hanging out as well while the other end is plugged into the receiver. That way, I can unplug it instead of use a switch.

Well, either way I've been looking for an excuse to do a radio upgrade and this is it. I'll check the crystals and wiring but this units going to be a spare anyway. Looks like my spending on upgrades is going to be just a bit bigger than expected.
Thanks for the assist
