Need a desktop icon

I can't believe I forgot how to do it, but how do I set a desktop shortcut to a site?

file-save as- then save in to desktop that worked for me. i tried it.

I used to have one for this site, now my shortcut here is a 'Favorites' key.
I'm tired of going to Firefox, then bookmarks and fishing through folders to open a site I store photos on.

If you use IE, just right click and create desktop shortcut. For Firefox, you need to install the deskcut add-on and then do the same as in IE.

right click, "create shortcut".

Done.

Either Vista or Firefox does not have that option for a website.

Save as.... put an extra folder on my desktop, but the drag and drop worked perfectly.

while we are on it..... if i right click a link in firefox, nothing happens.... any suggestions?

Not every link has right click options. A left click should take you to it.

like if i wana open in a new tab or somthing. NONE of them work with right click. to open in a new tab, i have to click both at same time.

Hmmm. That's not right. You should have the new tab option. Check your settings options in 'view' or 'tools'.

Not in mine.
Tools, options, tabs. Got 5 I can check. Got 2 checked.

"always show the tab bar"


Other 3 are:
open new windows in a new tab
warn me when closing multiple tabs
when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately.

Nothing about left click to open a tab.

no.... like normally if you click the right mouse key, it will bring up an option box. when in firefox, mine wont.
