Nascar road racing rocks!

WOOHOO! Jamie McMurray takes 2nd at Infineon! Anybody here a Nascar fan? If so what do you think about road races in the series? I think the series could use a couple more but just my

Road races are the best part of NASCAR and there should defiantly be a shitload more of them. Ovals are basically just fillers between the road races. The only two races I watch each season are the road ones. Other than that F-1 satisfys my needs for racing.

I watched it. I'll watch the races if I see them on, but I always try to sit down and watch Infineon and Watkins Glen.

My favorite kind of racing is GT1 and sports car stuff. CBS had the American Le Mans race at Mid-Ohio on right before the Nextel Series today. The next Le Mans CBS airs will be July 18th at Infineon.

I love road races also. Check out some SCCA or BTTC races if you can. I think they are the best road racing series for both the Americas and Europe.

Have any of you seen the Semi trucks they race in Europe? Almost stock big rigs on a standard road course. Awesome stuff. There has been talk of bringing that series here.

yeah, I like sports car stuff also.. hell if I wasn't so busy workin all the time I woulda gone to Mid-Ohio, it's not that far from me... oh yeah, like everybody I know who follows Nascar hates Jeff Gordon. Personally, I don't see why but that's there perogative. I don't have a problem with anybody who can turn right in a sport where they spend 97% of the time turning left... oh, did I mention Jamie McMurray finished 2nd?

Yesterday's race at Infineon was my first pro race event I have ever attended. I must say that watching it on TV does not even compare to seeing and hearing it live. It was an awesome day. I got free tickets in the $90 reserved seating area on turn 2 but ended up sitting in folding chairs on the hillside where the general admissions sit. You can see much more of the track there and it is also the fastest part of the track. It is also much closer to concessions. I am looking forward to next year.

I don't know, I like to watch road racing on TV but not Nascar road racing. It seems to me like they need to drop the 4 speeds in the car and get 6 speed trannies. It's just so boring, they hardly ever shift and it doesn't seem like the cars handle ALL that well compared to a lot of other cars.

Better yet, why don't you just tell me to leave the forum for good since I have ABSOLUTELY no value in any of my posts whatsoever. Besides, we have Humboltblazer on the RCNT Mod Team...and he's just all knowing and coolest. You should really think about making an offer to Woodie to buy the site from him. Then when you get control, you can ban me and then sign my e-mail address up with every spammer in town...I mean, that's what I deserve for giving my opinion.

Or to keep life simple, maybe you should start a poll in the secret "Mod's" section to have all the mods vote to ban me. Or maybe we should have a general poll to have me banned. I mean poop, all I try to do here is cause trouble.
