I am shocked at the price!
I would urge you to start with a Tekno. I believe far fewer 'upgrades' will be needed to get you 'bullet-proof' performance. You'll have a better truck when you're thru and it will be similar prices I'd bet.

That said, if you've already got a box of parts sitting on your bench waiting yo be built... build it!!!👍😁 And please post lots of pics along the way!!! 😎

I have not ordered the parts yet and the budget doesn't really matter because I am saving up for it and it is premium grade parts. Also this setup is everything proof.

I have yet to order the build yet. I will add pics when I am finished with the build.

I would think the budget matters even more if you are saving up for this build. 🤔

I am sure it will be everything proof. 👍

Cool, Can't wait to see the pics of your truck when it's done. I've always loved the Slash 4x4's especially the Ultimate's and Platinum's even the older TORC replica RTR's. They're my favorite SCT of all time i started with this one back in 2010.

My first one was a Mike Jenkins #47 Torc replica RTR VXL. I got this truck for Christmas in 2010

My 2nd one was a Fox edition VXL RTR i got in January 2021. Then i converted it into a LCG truck after 3 years of use i sold it along with my Slash 4x4 i had

My 3rd was a heavily abused Mark Jenkins edition rtr with a 6s Castle sidewinder system in it. I got it in a trade for my v1 Traxxas Maxx in April 2023 then sold it with my other Slash in 2024.

My Last and Final Slash 4x4 an Ultimate edition one i bought as a slider off ebay in 2023. I still own this truck to this day i built it using parts from my previous 2 trucks and my new Spektrum radio.

I just want it to be everything proof and the budget it just part of the project I updated it with a 3s battery and such so it is now 1,648.17 but I would like to have this build the full setup is insanely good. It can take 2s 3s 4s batteries no problem and has a better cooling system. But yeah if I wasn't determined to get this setup I probably would get a cheaper one.

I'm looking forward to your build. I don't like to interrupt people's builds, but you started with a poll. Spend it any way you want it. You've done the extensive research as per your intro.

Short course trucks rule!
Get 'er done!

I hate to see you waste your money on that hex driver set in OP. I say that only because those handles won't allow a person to get a good grip. You'll want nonslip textured handles that are at least 18mm in diameter. You'll thank me later. ;) :thumbs-up:

What ones would you recommend on amazon.com?
