Works like a charm ... from what I can tell. It's a simple 3 shoue clutch system. I didn't even need to shim it to get it to mate correctly to the spur gear. Whyat did you hear about the flywheel being used on the Kanai Evo2 engine?

hey diver, if your ordering majestic bodies and having imbroken spraying ask him if he'd mind doing one more. i could use an rcnt body for my xray. i already have 1 majestic for it and its all but bullet proof, ill never get a proline again.

oh and ill have that swift ready to ship later this week if you still want it.

Diver, dont forget to check the hubs of the Inferno if we can switch to 17mm and to check the wiring on the starter box for when we break in the eb4 and inferno.

[inwindow=300] Oh well. I'll try and remember to do it if Ericke1 wants me to build his EB4.

All readers, please post any ideas/suggestions building tips you may have after reviewing Diver's post. We want to ensure that the Ericke1 EB4 is built better, stronger and harder than em Diver EB4. This way (of course subject to driving skills), Erick will have a slight edge in the track (and wont have to distract Diver's attention by pointing to passing by girls or other more expensive nitro vehicles to get that edge).

Thanks for reminding me about the hubs. As for the build of your EB4, you're at my mercy :devious: if you want me to build it. I already did all the research and have a few killer set-ups to deal with different conditions. Well, unless you want to build it yourself :smoke:

All kidding put aside, I'll build and setup your buggy to exact specs as mine. AND, yes I did a lot of research as far as building tips. BTW, don't get the TT upgraded shock towers. I found some better ones. The factory upgrades will develop stress fractures over a short period of time. I found some that are CNC machined and 5mm thick. Or if you want, there are CF shock towers that are 4mm thick. Your choice.

alloy towers are better for buggy use. in an extreme hit you always have the chance of ripping the screws out of the diff case. however if that doesn't happen an alloy tower will bend and allow you to finish your race, where a CF will snap and leave you on the sidelines. i have yet to even bend my 4mm 7075 towers though. the material matters as much if not more than thickness, 7075 is way stronger than 6061, so keep that in mind while shopping.

Ok this is great, I hope you put as much dedication and time in building em Ericke1 EB4 as u did with yours :) Ok so when can I pick up the Violator? Dont also forget the glitching and the stripped wires on the TT when you look at it, I'm curious what the problem is? I heard from Gina, ahemmm!!!!!!!!

For the TT, Diver you can arrange the Pipe and manifold right? What servos should we get? I have the 615 and 625 MG, can we use this for throttle and I just pick up at 9450 or 645 for steering? Also what do you suggest for shock oil and wt?

diver also check out King Heads for aftermarket parts too, they are also great quality and will save you a few bux. plus they match the TTR factory option parts.

for servos id recommend in steering a minimum of 140in/oz's in under .13sec. and for throttle a minimum of 85in/oz's in under .13sec. digitals are great in buggies, but thats personal preferance. personally i run 180in/oz at .13 sec for steering and 128in/oz at .08sec for throttle. both hitec digitals (5925mg & 5945mg). i would get the futaba 9351 and 9451 if i was doing it over again simply to keep my radio system all futaba. my hitecs only let me down once and that was because i had an endpoint set wrong and burned out the amp.

TT Buggies

I've been wanting to debble in a buggy for a long, long time... I am no stranger to RC or Nitro, two decades in the hobby and I do own a fleet of electrics as well as a more than adequate Sirio powered T-MAXX.

Here in the UK 1/8th scale buggy racing is extremely popular with the market dominated by HoBao (Ofna) Hyper 7s. There is even a Hyper 7 "UK Pro" model that doesn't come cheap.

I was pleased to see the Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 Pro released in the UK. Even so, the EB4 S3 is certainly not cheap here either.

Needless to say I did my homework and did extensive research on buggies and I have not read a bad word about the EB4 S3 Pro, everyone who's tried it loves it! Magazines have given it a rave review too!

I decided to buy the EB4-S2 Pro (UK Spec without center diff!) as a springboard into the world of buggies - I believe this would be an excellent buggy to start me off - not too expensive and it offers me a good learning curve and insight into 8th scale buggies
My experience with Thunder Tiger as a manufacturer has been pleasant with EB4 S2 parts costing less than equivalent parts/hop ups for my Associated RC18T!
I have added a center diff now and I am upgrading the S2 Pro to a dual-disc brake configuration (UK spec has 1 disc brake that does not work too well) now that I added a high-torque servo

Once I have mastered the S2 Pro and entered some club races, I will buy a higher specification buggy. My choice will probably be the EB4 S3 Pro
I honestly believe that Thunder Tiger will be a force to reckon with in the 8th scale buggy class.

This Thread has been informative and it's interesting to see how people approach something new (like Thunder Tiger making seriously Pro spec buggies)

As I said, the S3 pro has excellent feedback and I will own one if I take well to 8th scale buggy racing
