Well, here are the finished pics of my EB4-S3. AS OF NOW, it is stock. I am doing some research for upgraded parts (front and rear shock towers). I am running the Sirio Kanai 21 Evo2 mill with the JP-2 pipe and Moab tires. I will probably switch the standard button to the turbo button included in the kit and will be running 30% Byrons in her ...

Sorry, but I forgot to take pics while I was building her. I was just too excited and remembered just as I was putting in the radio plate. Oh well. I'll try and remember to do it if Ericke1 wants me to build his EB4.

looks good diver, just throw a big bore fuel filter in there and keep the fuel line away from the pipe and linkage. ill try to grab a pic of how mine is set up. offroad is a lot dirtier than onroad, my secondary filters have trapped some dirt thats gotten by the stone filter in the tank already, and I'm very careful on fill-ups. also panther Komodo 2's in soft seem to hook up great on almost all east coast tracks. those moabs will be great for breakin, and bashing.

edit, and i hope you have 1.0 springs in that clutch. 1.1's tend to encourage slipping, and .90's are too soft for almost anything but at P5.

It's such a nice build. No stress and well thought out. I litterally plopped down on my bed and started building it at 2PM while watching tv. By the time 9PM came around, I was almost done. I just had to figure out what servos to use, build and mount the shocks and CA the wheels. BTW, it helps of you have a tap/die set for the plastic pieces. It saved my hands from the diamond pattern on the HUDY tools and kept me from splitting the part. BTW, this was my first buggy build. A little different from touring cars but I figured everything out.

Don't ask me what was on the TV. I think the tv was watching me instead of me watching it!

Yup, I just checked the manual. I have the 1.0 springs in the clutch. That was what came with it. The .9 and 1.1 are in the option bag.

BTW, about your swift ... I'm sending the centax for your NTC3 either tomorrow or friday. It depends on the work load I have tomorrow.

NICE!!! I think thats going to be my next bug!
Contact Ericke1. He still has 3 left. NIB, still has factory seal on them. I "cracked" mine open when he delievered it to me.

You know...you guys make me suffer. I look at these nice buggy kits and it makes me want to sell the hyper and the mayhem so I can pick up this buggy. It looks nice, nice, nice....

Just hope that you don't catch the "crawler bug" that a few of the other members caught. I found myself thinking about it for a fleeting moment then realized that there's not enough rocks to crawl over by my way. :smoke:

you think thats bad, i went and bought a 40" nitro boat. I've already been kicked out of 1 pond, another will be soon I'm sure. theres hardly anywhere to run it, but when i find a spot, watch out, it flys and damn its fun. and since I'm running a boat i had to get my son a reef racer2 electric boat. i also just got him a super clodbuster for his 5th bday, I'm putting the finishing touches on it now, and he will get it on the 15th. maybe for his 6th ill put a crawler frame on it.

great job man, i really like it, it seems like its missing something, oh yea GET THAT THING DIRTER!!!

One super bug is worth 3 RTRs....Do it and you'll tank all of us while never looking back......but remember to set up a full pro buggy will run AT least 1000 new...more like 1300 but if you're good at finding deals 1000....

That is true. Running a kit vehicle that you built is more satisying than a RTR. I have had only 1 RTR and that thing was easy to run but even easier to sell.

The satisfaction of putting something together and running it is great. It's even better when someone asks you how much you paid for it and where they can get it. When you go throughthe breakdown and explain it to them you usually get "You have to build it yourself?" That's the part I like because it differentiates it from a TYCO.

If it were a hobbyist that asks you, they usually know what it entails. They would just ask if it's the RTR or kit version. If you respond with RTR, they say "ok, how do you like it and is there a kit available?" (if they don't know already). If it's a kit, they'll ask about the build andwhat differentiates it from the rtr.

For this EB4-S3, you could plan on spending around $900 if you have to buy everything but the radi. Plan on about $1100-$1300 if you have to buy radio equipment. I spent less than both these figures since I already had some stuff from my other r/c's.

i noticed a problem with your build, youve put the front shocks through the arms :) lol
Nice ride, hopefully it serves u well

You can get the Richard Saxton set up sheets off of the TT website. I note you are using a different shock mounting hole on the towers than most of us are using.

What diff oils did you use? I am running 5/7/3. For the shocks I am running 40/50.

One thing happened to me. The stock rims are not round. Wasted a new set of Pro-Line Mugshots on them. I guess I can use them for practice rims/tires. Picked up a set of OFNA premounts for racing.

You made me check the car ... everyone's gotta be a comedian! Actually, this is the first time I've seen this design used. They say it's "Innovative, we'll see what my driving thinks of it.

all I have to say is NICE NICE NICE~!~!~!! Lets see that baby run! Also please post pics with buggy body on

I have the whole thing done. It's still sitting here waiting to get dirty. Gotta do the break-in process and I can do it now since I switched out the button on my engine to a turbo. I will be breaking in your engine for the Inferno MP6 International alongside my buggy as well.

The body is nothing to brag about. It's done in Outlaw black. Just trying to keep it simple. Only down thing is that the body is not a "general style" body that I can get just anywhere. I am going to order some bodies from Majestic and maybe if ImBroken has the time, have him whip up an insane scheme since this buggy is going racing! Gotta promote the Team RCNT name on the buggy as it soars through the air (with a few cartwheels probably).

Remember the Ericke1 sticker! I got the Kanai Engine, hoping it will arrive soon!!!! Twin EB4 S-3 to come soon :)

Please try and get some of them buggies running, so we can haul this weekend!

The Violator is finished. I installed the pin and 2 speed. The shift point still has to be set. The Thunder Tiger is still waiting for the transplant of the servo from your NTC3. I'm just getting to that this week. All I have to really do is the Kyosho.

BTW, this weekend is my birthday so I'll be racing down at Edison on Sunday.
