RC Driving Style
hey i have a priate 10 with a hyper 7 .21. i broke to parts on it and i ordered them and they came today. and it wouldnt start and eventually i got it running. so i was driving and i noticed that when i stop it would chug like the whole thing would chug because it was trying to go on its own. when i got it running my dad tuned it for me and it didnt wanna go on its own till i drove it for a while i dont know if this is natural or what. please help

try turning down the idle a little. also try turning down the throttle trim on your radio.

like hb1111 said. I remember when my car tried to go without me even touching the trigger. turns out the low speed needle was too lean.so try it on you car.

i would have to disagree with FRIDGE (sorry man) but i am having a similar problem and it turns out my idle stop screw was way out of wack. take off ur air filter so u can see ur carb. i dont know about ur's but on mine the carb. should b about 1/32" open about the thickness of a credit card. that fixed my problem. please if any thinks i am wrong let me know, alot of this is new to me, but i think i am right on this one thanxs to what rolex taught me!

From what he is describing, it sounds like his idle is set too high.

not to get on your back, but why is your dad tuning for you? you really should be able to do it yourself so you don't have to rely on other people...

and like everyone else said, chances are your idle is too high or you need to lower your throttle trim

so tell dad to go get his own truck. nothin like RC's to bring a father and son together.
