hey guys the connection from the fuel tank is leaking the one that leads to the carb..on the fuel tank side !! i think its because i pulled it off to clean the tank when i slide it back in it leaks a tiny bit how can i solve the prpblem .. i knw the pipe must have stretched diameter wise but what can i do knw exept buy another pipe?

Take it off.. clean all the fuel from inside the pipe, the part that connects to the tank, and clean the connection on the tank, the pipe should be more secure on the connect.. if not buy a new pipe, it might just be stretched.

thnxs lol simple and effective ill try hopefuly it wont end up too short

just for FYI fuel tubing is cheep, and can be used for many things. next time your at the hobby shop, or make an order online, pick up a roll of 4 ft or so.. its good to have around.

Using tubing other than the tubing designed for carrying nitro can cause a failure that could result in a fire. Don't do it! There are enough dipsticks making ashes of themselves on YouTube already.

Yepp once again I fail to think about the consequences of using cheaper materials! Ill be sure to change them before the next run.

yea the tank tube may not hold up to the fuel, and it may eat a hole in it. causing a fire. you would loose your pride and joy at best, fingers, hands, sight, or worse, in worst case.

just remember a methanol fire can not been seen in daylight. best to carry at least a qt of water, to put out a methanol fire. how? you ask. well the methanol will take in water changing the fire temp enough that it will put out a fire. remember watching the indy 500? the car pulls in one dude puts in the fuel (methanol) when he unhooks the nozzle there is some spillage, and another dude sprays water, diluting the methanol so its very hard for it to catch fire.

cable tie if theres room (my car has a hole where the pipe conects to the tank and the squar bit would fit in there) but tubing is not that expencive anyway so might as well
