I finally got to a track today, Barnstormers to be more specific.
I ran 1/8 scale buggy, and truggy. I didn't even look at the heat sheets to see my placement. Only to find out which transponder to pick up. I had such a relaxing day.
Only problem was when my truggy took off WOT at the end of the main. It's good that nobody got hurt.
All in all, it was a great day.
Thanks to Mark for the clutch and flywheel that got me up and running, and Herman for doing the install while I ate my lunch.
If anyone is in the Chester area In NY state, I suggest you get over there and check it out.
Nice bunch of people there.

You can keep up with me Ed.

I was doing good at the beginning. I had a good hole shot (probably in 3rd or 4th), then noticed that I was having trouble steering a bit and fell back to 4th or 5th, so I pulled over and let the pack pass.
Just as the last person passed, the glitch seemed to go away, and I was catching up to the pack, and right on the last persons bumper.
The glitch was back. I said to my friend Mark (on the stand) "somethings wrong with my truggy".
Next thing I know, the truggy goes crazy.
The guy that it almost hit, flamed it out for me.
The race was done.

Congrats on getting some good RC time, hopefully I can do the same next weekend.

Glad to hear you had fun..I myself got to break in my new engine in the buggy and that was the most fun id had in along time ..Well except breaking the baja haha. I'm sure a bad days racing is better than a good days work..

Glad to hear you had a chance to burn some nitro and relax, my friend! After putting all the hockey, football and family plans on the calendar for the next two months, it's looking like Spring will be the next time I can get out for any racing time!

Oh well, at least there's Virtual R/C!

BTW, that Novarossi P5 that I bought off AC rips holy ass!
I changed the glow plug, tuned it and it ripped. I coupled it with a JP3 pipe.
What a combo.
