how so? we need more info!!! I'm not the guy that cares if his threads go sideways, i dig it. how did this happen broly?
So in Spokane they have like a McDonald's team of the week thingy where they pick a random high school sports team to go on the local news and the team also gets some McDonald's coupons, and the cross country team that I was on got nominated for it. We went down to the news station where they filmed stuff and interviewed a couple of the other guys on the team, and then they proceeded to tell us that they would air it at like 11:30 at night on a Friday (which is honestly kinda stupid, high school sports are interesting!). Anyways, they gave us a tour of the station and we got to watch some people talk about crap, BUT THEN the weather lady was about to come on and she asked if they could get us on too! So they turned one of the cameras around and i got to be on the news! And then about 2 weeks later at 11:30 on a Friday I was on the news again!

Article about my team

P.S. sorry if this was a little bit of a lengthy explanation. It was kinda complicated.

How or where did she go to find the work placement? A acting agency?

You don't give yourself enough credit. There are lots of roles in movies for a guy like you. A kid I went to high school with was sort of in an episode of Law and Order SVU. They had an episode where a guy was killing gay men, and they used his high school yearbook photo as one of the guys that was murdered 😅 He is actually one of the grips for the production company for the show.

Strange story - A number of years ago I was talking to an online friend in a Discord channel. I had been talking to him for a couple years. One day and he told me he was a tv show producer in NY. I mentioned a guy I know that works on the Law and order show set and he freaked out. He said that's his production company. It turns out he was his boss. I started to think he was bullchitting me until he asked me questions to make sure we were talking about the same guy, and sure enough we were. Pretty crazy, the odds of that happening.

I know a few guys that were in films as a kid. They live the SoCal and they need a (fill in the blank). One was a skateboards, another on a soccer team. They get day off school, get a some money, and have a bit of fun.

I really got a kick out of the fact when I got grown and started traveling for work, "soul food" was a buzz word. This was in the early 90s mind you. Anywhere we would go eat that had this "soul food", I was like; "This is just food where I'm from." LOL

Pretty cool!

I have a brother-in-law in NYC who was an aspiring actor and in the Screen Actors' Guild. The acting never got too far past the part-time thing with parts here and there so he worked a regular job in a publishing company. Years ago, my girlfriend and I rented the movie "Married to the Mob." As we started watching, I almost fell off the couch when my brother-in-law was on screen in the opening scene.

It's fun to see stuff like that. Cool that your wife is getting that kind of work... you should join her!

Ok just watched the movie. Was he the white guy in suit?

Wow... that was a long time ago... if I remember correctly, he was standing with some people waiting for a train. A non-speaking part. Yes, a white guy. I'll have to see if I can find the movie on line and look at it again.

Edit to add: OK I just saw it on YouTube. As the train arrives and the people start to board, he's the guy at the end of the shot, rubbing his nose as he walks to the train.
