Mugen MBX-5 PROSPEC RELEASED!

I'm actually kinda surprised that the Mugen MBX5 doesn't have more of the hopups standard.. it's not a cheap buggy. I saw one at the track the other day, brand new just built, and was very surprised to see ball end torque rods and the plastic braces they attach to.

If I had an MBX5 and a Storm Pro sitting in front of me, I'd choose the Storm Pro. The only hopups left for that are like... Fioroni stuff like aluminum arms and such, and titanium chassis..

But if I saw the Prospec MBX5 next to the Storm Pro, I'd probably choose that.

Not to say the stock MBX5 isn't nice; it's very nice, and since it's newer then the Storm, it's got some newer enhancements. I just think it should be cheaper.

You can be surprised as much as you like. The MBX-5 stock is a tough beast. I can certainly attest to that. Bashed the hell out of mine and have only a handful of small parts to replace (mostly sheared screws and sheared shock shafts).

Geez, I guess you are defensive about your little buggy.

I made it a point to be careful that I didn't say the MBX5 was bad, and that I thought it was very nice, and that I would definately choose the Prospec if I had that choice, over the Storm Pro.

*whatever*

LMAO...not defensive at all. Just making a remark in response to your comment. That is all. Believe me, you will know when I am being defensive...and that was far from it.

hmm, nice add-ons but the only thing that needs to be added to the stock x-5 for competition is 3 add-ons and it's performace oriented, hands down kick-in the ballsak of the K-car owners.. the optional add-ons are pretty, but pretty don't get you trophys..

Eo311 option ackerman
H0864 MRX-3 Fuel Tank option Cap
and MUGC0207 option front universals ,, 4mm longer than stock ones..

anyone want a killer set-up for the X-5 drop me an email,, i'll mail it to ya, gauranteed as long as u can drive you will win,,,u need to have the hammer down at all times, but then again isnt that how we play?

haha,

HumboldtBlazer another nice find that is a nice buggy. If I ever kill my Ofna PBS buggies I will have to get one. It is very tempting.

Is there a reputable Online shop that will be carrying this buggy?
mmm mmm mmm, the temptation is overwhelming......

Yeah if they release that buggy like that for around 650-700, count me in as a new Mugen Boy convert.

same here Its been killing me, I have come close to pulling the trigger so many times, but now I know I can wait a little longer and get this model.

The new Mugen Boy , Bigheadz

If you want one , email me from the www.WilzWerx.com site as we can get Mugen goods for sure, and will keep prices as low as possible. Check with Christian or NCNitro for Willz selling validity...
The prospec wont be publicly available for a little while, as now is just hype building (like all new kits are), till it is available for resale.
The msrp on the kit is 760.00 which means it should be a bit under that..

Remem,, that's MSRP,, like the Kanai's 999.00 MSRP, but what you really get it for is a bit different,,, so I'm sure the 760.00 is well? ....plus that price might not be set in stone quite yet...

True, very true... it also is past the development stage and just now in the "hype" stage so the price I'm sure isn't concrete... either way, that's one hell of a buggy.

Will, let me know as soon as you can get these. I need one to drop my new WS7II in man!

And yes, anyone thinking of dealing with Will, go for it! He is a GREAT guy to deal with, and talk to as well.

Is July when vendors will have them IN STOCK... or is that when they will be available to be ordered?

ultimate hobbies has it for 709.95 not a bad price for a high end buggy i think.
