Now you can buy the factory version of the MBX-5. This is how they are delivered to the sponsored racers and now is available to the public!!!

Excellent. Now I have part numbers for all the upgraded bits I want. Thanks HB.

I am just getting ready to buy an MBX5, I wonder what's the price difference between this one and the regular MBX5? Nice find yet again HB, I know we can always count on you for the latest buggy info. Damn, now the dilema, get the regular MBX5, or wait and get this one. Actually you suck Blazer, lol.

I'd hold off and get this one...you will most likely end up buying most of those parts down the road anyway despite the fact that the non-PROSPEC version is tough as hell.

If you read my last post in the HB Lightning Pro thread, I am FN sick of not being able to get parts. I've been thinking of a KII or III, but I have to say this new MBX5 Prospect just might win the race. Looks real nice! Nice find Blazer!

Looks nice, KIII is a rip off and waste IMO.... KII best kit for money. Hope this comes in low, then it will be best for the money...

The metal rear wheel hubs are really nice looking. I wish the Fioroni stuff came in that nice silver colored annodizing instead of the blue.

Nice kit! Damn that thing looks nice! Wonder if it will come full in a kit form or if you will have to buy the upgrade kit along with the regular kit.

You can buy the MBX-5 Prospect kit w/ all the hop-ups included.

Very nice... got to be damn expensive though. Do they sell a complete upgrade kit? I'm sure they sell it part by part... they would have to.

2 Months

Just talked to chris a Mugen he said 1 to 2 Months before they see anything

dunno but it is damn sexy! It would make sense they would offer a upgrade kit for us MBX-5 owners.

God that thing is just SICK. Ugh, makes me want to sell my buggy, my car, my house, my dog, my g/f, everything. Just to make sure I could afford a whole fleet. That thing is just bad ass, no questions asked. I don't know how anyone would want anything else. :smoke: :fro:

You mean it will be on the shelf by the end of August? :devious: \
Just in time for the indoor track to open up! :boxing:

You can actually buy most of those hop ups as separate parts. I have the chassis braces, and may be getting the towers in the not too distant future...when I have the time and money.

As for the PROSPEC kit, I may be adding one to my collection in the fall...so the timing of the release is great.

Yeah I could, but that usually ends up costing much more in the long run. I've waited this long to get a buggy, another month or so won't kill me. It's not like I don't have anything else to drive, lol. I still need to pick up an RB 063, header, and a starter box, so I can actually space out the spending a bit while waiting for the prospec..

Sorry, NC...my response was targeted at those that felt they needed to wait for the kit to get any of the good parts.

Had I the chance to do it again and if both the PROSPEC and the straight MBX-5 were on the shelf in front of me, I'd have bought the PROSPEC. As it is, I have a straight MBX-5 with some upgrades being installed as I destroy the stock parts...kind of the same story for most every RC...the exception being that it is taking me a heck of a lot longer to need the upgraded parts.
