  1. Bashing
When I get another truck, which one should I get. My needs- I bash on grass but have some pretty nasty jumps. Also I bash in sand and have some HUGE ramps, I'm talkin 30 foot frestyle motocross jumps. I need something strong, fast and really durable. Also rtr would be a nisesity. (great spelling)

It sounds like you need a Savage. I might have a Savage X SS for sale really soon, nearly brand new. It only has 20 minutes of run time since break in.

Fixed the spelling, you really need Firefox 2 spell check. :)

I agree with Savage X SS kit being the best option for a basher. Granted T-Maxx and Revo are good options, dollar for dollar invested the Savage is going to win time and time again.

Yeah I was thinking savage. I want something rtr. What do you think of the savage x 4.6? its rtr right?

Yeap the Savage x is rtr, the Savage X SS is kit, but if you buy mine you could get the best of both worlds, because it's an X SS but it's also RTR.

Well i don't think I'm ready to buy just yet. I do want to know what the price would be on yours.

well it might work, I'm not ready to sale just yet. It not going to be run any more but I want to meticulously go through and clean it so you can't tell its ever been used. I never understood the way some people will pick an RC up out of the biggest mudhole that it's ever been in, and snap a picture and list it for sale in like new condition. If my RC's ever got to the filthy point of the ones the people list for sale, I would fall over dead. I guess since I work so hard for my money I work so hard to take care of things that I buy with that money. I'll shoot you a PM when I come up with a price.

Thats a good idea. If I do buy it (which will be this fall) I want to know if there are aby pinched wires and little stuff like that.

yeah plus one on the savage or revo

tmaxx cost to much to make it bash worthy

savage is built like a tank but lacks a lil in the handling department

the revo has good handling but prolly not quite as tough as a savage but atill agreat overall truck the suspesion is awesome and i have never been able to get normal suspension to handle like the revo.

The new setup on the platinum revo suspension is said to double the handling quality of the Revo 3.3. I can't wait to get the E-Revo and put the platinum upgrades on it this summer.

I've never driven a savage. but I've always heard that it is the best basher out there. but i do own a revo and I'm just in love with it. took some work and alot of money but its definetly bash worthy. and i could simply changes some parts and have it ready the next day to take it down to the track if needed.

very versatile truck IMO. i would probably get a used revo and than use the extra cash to customize it and make it bash worthy. just my $.02

I agree mattyfats, if you plan on doing some racing at the track the revo will be most competitive, and that's the way to go. But if you're going to be doing a lot of these 30+ foot jumps that you described, I just wouldn't think that the Revo would hold up as well as the Savage. It's not a bad thing though. The reason it's not as tough is because it was built with such amazing handling and suspension characteristics, and IMO, that's a very good thing.

Ok well what should I get? I plan on doing some big jumps in the sand and rippin around my 6 acre backyard.

Ok. I am thinking 4.6 because I find the 2.5 isn't enough pulling power. U know for going through the sand. What do you think?

2.5r has great power but get the 3.3 its a much better engine the 4.6 big block has a load of power and for 6 acres i would put the 3 speed and reverse in your savage

The 4.6 will have way more power than you can even imagine. Novarossi builds the k4.6 for HPI, and I have to say that they did a spot on job. The SS has a bigger carb and better tuned pipe, so it puts out a slight bit more power, but with either one the torque is simply unbelievable. You can pull stumps with this thing.
