What is better.......an 12 modified engine as RB,RODI......or an simple 21 engine?always to put on an 1/10

A .21 won't just drop in to a 1/10 car, unles it's a Schumacher Fusion or another car designed to take big block engines. Doesn't work that way. Serious modification will be needed to your driveline.

You also introduced yourself as being new to the hobby in another thread. Welcome to the hobby but don't make the mistake of getting an engine for your car that you will have nothing but trouble with. The Rody Roem is a very nice engine. I used to have one.

It is a very fast engine BUT you still have to learn to control the car. This is not an engine that I would recomend to a beginner. First of all, most mod engines are pretty much reserved for those with moderate to advanced tuning skills. There are very small "sweet spots" on these engines. Variances in temp. humidity and even elevation will throw everything into a new phase of tuning. Sometimes, all in the same day.

I'm not trying to put you down, please don't take it that way. What I am saying is get an engine that is more suited to your skills and learn the proper way. Speed is good, but not always the way to go for a novice. Learn the car's handeling dynamics and engine basics first. It'll be cheaper and a happier experience for you.

ok no problem tude!what do you think of the 12TR 5port osmax engine?

That's a fine engine. OS is known to be user friendly and easy to tune. I started with OS on my first r/c. I would recomend an OS to anyone in a heartbeat.

ok.another question about bodies..?is it true that a good body as protoforms bodies make better job than the common ones for better stability ???

depends on what class your running...
if your running stock electric truck then =not really

gas trucks 1/10th scale usually need a wing to help in jumping because of the enertia of the engine and speed ...the wing helps in jumping and straight line stability

electric mod trucks carry close speeds to the nitro's and a wing also helps them...although u can correct an electric truck in the air with turning the wheels and using brake.....
but all in all a good body does help some but i dont think its as drastic a change as lets say having the right shock fluids....hope this helps

In 1/10 Touring, the body will have an affect on handeling characteristics as well, since the bodies are actually based after real cars (except for the nemesis body). Some bodies will have more aggressive steering, some are made for short tracks, some for long ... the aerodynamics of a body will dictate what is used for certain kinds of tracks. Then again, there is always the "cool factor" which doesn't mean a thing aerodynamically, just for show at the park.
